A:  Thank you for your interest in Danco products. Unfortunately this tub spout will not fit on PVC pipe. It is for a 1/2" copper pipe slip connection.

            A:  You cut the pipe so the threading will be gone. Minimum distance is like... 2” I think they said but it’s probably fine with 1.5”

                A:  Thank for inquiring about a Danco product. The stub out nipple has to be 2"-3" from the wall. You will need to replace your threaded nipple with a slip on nipple.

                  After removing the center extension tube, the next step was...
                  After removing the center extension tube, the next step was to screw the spout onto the threaded pipe. The glue that was in the spouts threads made it nearly impossible to install. I tried grease on the pipe threads, didn't help. Just so tight. The rotational resistance was so much I worried about breaking the pipe fitting. Bad design, needs looser tlerance and no glue please.
