Have the convenience of a shower spray in your bath tub with the DANCO Versa 1-Spray Portable Hand Shower in White. The portable design allows for any bath tub to be easily converted to have the convenience of a shower spray. It is perfect for rinsing off, bathing children, washing pets and even cleaning tubs. The sprayer slips on to your existing tub spout (without a diverter) for quick and easy installation.
- Introducing generation 2 versaspray with an improved design for easier installation and removal, with included clamp that attaches around the rubber fitting on a round or square garden tub for a more secure fit
- Generation 1 and 2, only fit standard size garden tub spouts WITHOUT DIVERTER and will stretch up to approximately 2 in. when installed on a tub spout
- Generation 1 and 2 are ideal for washing pets, rinsing off, bathing children, and even cleaning tubs
- Pre-installation note: to make the installation easier, for both generation 1 and generation 2, soak spout adapter in hot water for 5 minutes to allow rubber to soften so it will stretch to fit your tub spout
- Note: there will be overlap between Generation 1 and 2 VersaSpray; you could receive either one

Did not work
After a long search for the most appropriate shower hose/head adapter I bought this unit today to add it to our round Moen brand garden tub spout. The diameter of the spout is approx. 1-1/2 inches, so I was fairly confident that it will work. After soaking the rubber head in hot water, I was able to slip it on with minimal effort and then I tighten the clamp around it.
Unfortunately, the adaptor still leaked around the rubber adaptor. Please see a still photo attached.
I was also very annoyed for the need of “soaking” the plastic adaptor in hot water for “softening”. Why not use a better quality and softer rubber instead? I would not mind paying more for better material. The only good thing about this experience is that I can return it to HD.

This thing CAN work. If you are lucky enough for it to fit your faucet (mine is hexagonal and about 1" in diameter), all you need is a washcloth! The VersaSpray went over my faucet, but not snugly, and water sprayed out the top. After a good deal of trial and error, I found that throwing a washcloth over it not only stopped the water leakage, but I could turn up the water without the VersaSpray falling off. Then the spray coming out of the nozzle was pretty strong. Make sure the VersaSpray is positioned straight up.

The plastic was very still & even though I soaked it for 5 + minutes in hot water it did not go on my faucet. I wanted this to bathe my dog easier but it did not work for me.

A Great Little Tool!
I think that the majority of the reviewers did not read the instructions. It clearly states that it does not work with a diverter. And sometimes pushing it all the on makes water spray out the back. But when I didn't force it all the way on the faucet it works perfectly with no back spray at all. It is a super tool for cleaning and washing the dogs. Wish I had found it a long time ago.

Bad quality.
Had no problem connecting the hose to the bath tub spigot, and the product worked perfectly fine the first two times I used it (to clean the adjacent walk-in shower). However, as mentioned in another review, the plastic nut that connects the shower head to the hose is of very bad quality and breaks easily. The third time I used the hose the plastic connector literally crumbled into pieces and fell off.

Very difficult to put on
I just picked one of these up and wound up soaking it in hot water for 5 minutes then spreading liquid soap on boath the faucet and the part which fits over it. With a whole lot of force I eventually got it on. I then clamped it, turned it on, then noticed it was shooting out the bottom. I left the water running and tightened the clamp some more until the leaking stopped. The shower is very powerful now that it is finally on.
