Q:Trying to replace my old one, but its not one with a screw - it rotates on/off and almost like a snap on - the new one doesn't go over it all the way nor is there anything to screw onto and catch - anything else i can purchase to help?

Plastic screw broke
Nice at first then little plastic screw at bottom of plug that screws into drain snapped off. Now $34 brushed nickel drain is useless.

Easy install
Very easy to install. I bought a new faucet, so had to have a new drain plug. This matches perfectly to the brushed nickel faucet. The top unscrews when you need to clean it, so very low maintenance. Never has leaked as the fittings are great.

Flap/seal underneath the touch-toe button hangs down very low and can cause water to not drain as quickly as it could.
Was very easy to install however.

Cheap plastic
I bought this to replace the cheap drain stop our tub came with when we bought our house. Apparently this was the same drain the previous owners used. You cannot use cleaners on your tub or it wears away the finish on the cheap plastic. Don't bother!

Incomplete instructions
Something didn’t seem right with how much water stayed in the tub under the lip of the flange, then I read another reviewer that mentioned the black rubber gasket goes under the tub on the pipe side, not on top. Instructions did not mention this.

wrong drain stop
I got mine from sales person. Did not pay attention for the look until installing. Drain stop was not brushed nickel it was chrome and didn't fit. To late, angry at myself.

Had the same experience as a previous buyer, hairline crack of drain at the flange while tightening.The drain shoe washer supplied is about 1/2 the thickness as one I purchased from a local plumbing supply.It leaked a bit when I installed it. Tightened it a little more to get a seal, and it cracked. I had to go back to Home Depot to purchase a second one and use it with the thicker gasket. This is for 1 1/2" Fine thread the ones sold at the plumbing supply were for course threads.Be gentle !
