Perfect Seal is an innovative new product that takes the guesswork out of toilet installation. Perfect Seal is truly universal and it will work with any toilet installation. It fits any drain size and flange depth. Whether your flange is above the floor or below the floor due to re-tiling, the Perfect Seal guarantees a perfect seal the first time, every time. The patented seal design combines specially designed rubber gaskets with encapsulated wax to form a seal that is three times stronger than a wax ring without the mess. Unlike wax rings, the Perfect Seal stabilizes toilet bolts and allows the toilet to be repositioned as needed. It accommodates flange heights from 1/2 in. above the floor to 1-1/2 in. below the floor and maintains a tight seal when common toilet and floor movement occurs. Depending upon the height of the floor flange and the toilet horn, there may be instances when the toilet may not sit flush to the floor. In these situations, the black plastic ring that is inside the gray rubber casing of the Perfect Seal can be removed. The removal of this hard plastic ring will allow the Perfect Seal to be fully compressed and the toilet should then sit flush with the floor.

Questions & Answers

will this make my toilet too high?

I read another review and was wondering if this will make my toilet sit too high. My flange is above the floor.
Asked by: daash220
Thank you for your inquiry. With most flanges above the floor, this will not cause the toilet to sit too high. In some very rare cases, the toilet will need to be shimmed, but it doesn't happen as often as the reviews make it seem (no one is reporting the thousands upon thousands that are installed without an issue).

wax in the drain pipe?

love the design. I question wax going IN the drain pipe is a good idea? I worry it will create clogs (wax is a sticky mess, probably don't want it inside the drain?) Thank you
Asked by: fixmyhouse
All toilets are mounted with wax. This is sticky enough that it doesn't flow into the pipe. If you have so much wax that it is going into the pipe, then you need to scrape some off. The wax typically resides around the pipe in the flange area. A little wax that works off the drain is better than sewage on your floor.

Will this work 3/4 below floor

I have to level the floor so my ring will be 1/2 to 3/4 below the finish tile surface. Will this take up the gap with the blue spacer?
Asked by: Cabin
Yes, it will. I had the same thing and it worked out perfectly.

Does this come with mounting bolts?

Asked by: Squeege
Yes. However, I reused the existing bolts because they were in good shape and larger in diameter.

Perfect Seal Toilet Wax Ring is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 42.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Perfect Mess This device was used in a below floor installation that required the use of both parts and compressed so the toilet sat flat with no rocking. Initially it seemed okay and working as it should with never any water around the toilet. A while later we noticed it started leaking but because the flange was below the finished floor the water was going onto the sub floor and eventually it rotted to the point the water started dripping in the basement. This obviously small seeping leak was probably from the very start and took a long time to become evident. Contacted Danco as it was under warranty and they said they would rush a replacement. After pulling the toilet I discovered that everything had seated as it should have, the blue adaptor was properly sitting over the horn on the bottom of the toilet and the main part had compressed level. The problem was that the wax when pushed out of the seal had created a restriction in the 3 inch drain opening narrowing the flow to about 2 inches. This restriction was causing a small back up in the drain which with this strong flushing toilet, forced water between the two parts of the seal allowing a small amount of seepage onto the sub floor. Over time the sub floor could only absorb so much and eventually made the leak evident. Not wanting to ever trust this product again I switched to the Fluidmaster Better Than Wax Toilet Seal which required using both parts for below floor flange installation. Had to put full weight onto the toilet to compress seal enough that the toilet sat flush on the tile floor. This seal with no restriction in the flush is working fine with no evidence of a leak on the tile floor or from the sub floor below into the basement. Never did get the promised Perfect Seal replacement from Danco.

We purchased an American Standard Champion toilet and the Danco Perfect Seal. Our flange is above the tile by 1/2 inch, within the measurements that will work with the seal. After going through all of the troubleshooting ideas of removing the blue ring and the black ring we still had no luck. A call to customer support resulted in the news the seal does not work on "many updated toilets unless the flange sits below the tile by at least 1/2 inch." (Nov. 2017) The problem is the 2 little feet in the back of the recent toilets. Customer support is resolving my issue and were very helpful. The seal was easy to install and would have been great if not for the changes made to updated toilets and the height of our flange.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not seal on rough surfaces I purchased the seal for a new toilet and to my surprise had a LEICK that has ruined the wood floor around the toilet. Soon kmvestigation And a lot of measurements to see what was sealing where I found that the rubber surface was sealing on a rough surface or the toilet horn. I had to use a standard wax seal on top of this seal to seal the flange. Disappointed to spend 4 times the cost to prevent this from happening.

Still no leakage from under the toilet. A nice easy product to use for two amateurs. Definitely recommend. Looking to put in another toilet and our flange is rusting. Planning to try Danco's "HydroSeat", so we will see how that one goes. Nice, easy, clean installation. Biggest thing - has not leaked. Happy customer.

Used option 2, flange level with floor so I removed blue part of seal.Upon installation of toilet I could not get it to go down all the way so I,per instructions, removed the hard black plastic ring. toilet installed properly, however after a few days I noticed water seeping from the flange area.Removed toilet and noticed wax into drain pipe and distorting grey rubber seal, almost totally restricting flow into sewer pipe, thank goodness for leak because I would have definitely had flow problems.Went back to standard wax ring
