Based on your commentary, it would appear that you purchased a package that was previously damaged (in store handling), this can occur when boxes are opened with cutting tools, instead of the provided "tear to open" strip or box lid/flaps. If you should encounter product that was sold in unusable condition, the product should be returned to the point of purchase (DAP will issue a credit to the retailer for the returned item) or alternately, the product (with proof of purchase) can be returned directly to DAP for a refund of your purchase price.
