The issue that you appear to be describing typically occurs in applications where excessive joint movement is occurring and/or where low flexibility paints are applied over more flexible materials (such as caulking compounds). Cracking within the applied paint coat most commonly occurs when the paint is not able to flex to the same degree as the underlying caulk. This is not a quality or performance issue with respect to the applied caulk, rather, it is a physical (performance) limitation with respect to the applied paint. In applications where joint movement is likely, the use of softer/more flexible paint coatings (such as a semi-gloss), would be better suited. Because you did not provide any background regarding your project, application technique or application conditions, it is difficult to provide a more detailed response in this format. A:  I would recommend an adhesive meant for mirrors. This product doesn’t have the holding strength you need for a mirror
