Product Overview

Tan Deck Screws were designed to provide superior weather protection all while coordinating with your decking finish. Engineered using star drive technology, these screws are twice as durable as a Philips drive and prevent stripping. The tan ceramic coating provides superior rust and corrosion resistance with 4 layers of protection - a zinc layer, a chemical adhesion layer, an epoxy coating, and a durable protective finish. Recommended for use with treated lumber.
  • Reinforced neck prevents head from snapping
  • Specifically designed to drive fast and reduce splitting
  • Coating is guaranteed for the life of the project
  • Star drive will not strip or cam-out

Built a 20 by 50 ft addition to my deck 1.5 years ago look what happened to the screws. The tan screw is what they are supposed to look like, the green screws is what I used , everyone snapped , every single screw is broken at the exactly same spot. I have to redo the deck

I would predrill while building my planter, but I don’t think it was necessary. These screws did the job. Not staining the wood for the planters, so the light colored screws don’t show and blend in very well.

I have used these screws for years. The last box I purchased had too much coating on the head and the Torx bit would slip like it was stripped because the screw head wasn't seated properly. This happened on about every third screw until I started looking and discarding the bad ones, or I had to spend extra time getting them to seat properly. Very frustrating!
