AnswersThe bit was so hard to remove even pliers didn't help. I finally put it through the teardrop-shaped eye of a flat wrecking bar, slid it down to the narrow end until only the bit stuck out the other side, and clamped the bit in a vice. I lifted gently on the end of the bar and the holder popped right off.

I just love this tool, I shopped around at Home Depot's competitive store and they're way overpriced on theirs. Home Depot is the place to get it I buy all my tools from Home Depot I wouldn't go anywhere else. If you don't own one of these you need to get one.... you will love it, don't take my word on it just get one.

I don't leave home without this tool; it is an absolute necessity when dealing with fasteners that are close to a corner. Two reasons for 4 vs 5 stars:
➀ no magnet like the nut-driver versions of this tool to hold it straight w/o latching
➁ way way too difficult to remove the bit; they do warn you on the packaging to use a pliers to remove but it's easily 2 to 3 times as difficult as necessary.
I broke mine once trying to turn in too large of a lag bolt with it, it can't handle the full power of my 2000 in-lb impact tool; i should have used my 3//8 swivel.
i've used a pair of these in series to install a hose clamp that was 'around a corner' on my car. See attached photo; i literally couldn't see the screw from the hose clamp but it tightened right up.
