How can you know if temperature is correct? When turned all the way high and switched to 10K the coil never gets red or feels like it just isn't full potential.

This is a 100amp rated device. At best it will be severely limited on a 30amp breaker. At worst you risk a fire.
Can this heater be used inside one's home rather than a shop or garage? I refer to the DeWALTDXH1000TS. Manual states clearance from combustibles in feet as: Outlet:6, Rear:2, Tom (must be a typo for top):2, and bottom: noncombustible floor. Have more ?'s
