Q:Can the jaws be reversed to create a spreader action?

Answer This Question

A:  Yes I do believe you can. There is a roll pin you'll have to punch out and the other end had a Phillips screw and a nut that's flush with the body. I haven't tried to reverse the jaws but it looks feasible.

      A:  No - these jaws are fixed. There is a model of Dewalt that CAN be reversed, but I found the head on them to be too bulky.

      A:  Hello Dad, This particular model doesn't have the release pin on the fixed head to allow the clamp to convert. If that feature is high on the list I recommend having a look and the model listed below. I hope this helps.         Don't Buy
        There is a pinch point behind the release trigger. If you're holding the clamp one handed and you press the release trigger, it can pinch and cut your finger. I'm returning mine right away and buying the Irwin ones from another supplier.
