This Migweld hammer is a game changer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this 12oz hammer from Dewalt! It hits like a framing hammer and is light like a finish trim hammer. It has a good, solid, rubber grip. I've been a fan of dewalt hammers but this new migweld tech, has it looking more sleekish, lighter and a overall great hammer for light to heavy duty on the job or at home. Great Hammer man

Great weight and well balanced hammer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great weight and balance when swinging the hammer. The straight claws make it easy to remove nails and to pry objects apart. The grip is comfortable in the hand and is grippy enough to not slip out. It’s a well build hammer

      One hammer to replace many
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used several different styles, brands, and weights of hammers over the years. I have been working on a deck and this hammer has replaced the other two hammers I would typically use on a deck. The size of the head and the balance make it great for getting into tight places and still packs a good hit. I feel like this will replace three hammers in my tool box. I would like to see a version of this hammer with a side mounted nail puller. This is a great hammer and I plan on using for many years.

        12oz tough series DeWalt hammer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just received my new 12 ounce hammer from DeWalt. Overall It seems to be a very sturdy hammer lightweight yet durable. I love how it feels in the hand with a nice nonslip grip. The only gripe I have about it is the weld holding the head onto the shaft. Really it’s just a cosmetic flaw and does not affect performance. It does feel like an 18 ounce maybe a 20 ounce hammer when being used. The handle is longer than most hammers allowing you to get more leverage for extracting nails and hammering. I am not disappointed in the product and I would recommend it to others.

          Lightweight but powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an electrician weight in your tool bags is important. This hammer performs amazingly for its size and weight. From driving Romex staples to hanging electrical boxes it performs excellent. The built in nail holder is strong and works well when you are trying to mount a block and need three hands.

            Perfect 12oz hammer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Early on in my career I started with a 16oz hammer and then progressed to a 22oz hammer before getting old. Now that I’m in that dreaded above XX category I find that swinging a heavier hammer on the job is wearing. Not to mention those super hot days where the hammer wants to swing out of your hands. This is not that. I received this hammer and immediately put it to use. Weighing in at around 1lb 11oz, I has a perfect head to arm feel. It’s advertised as a 5x more durable grip and I believe it. It’s also extremely comfortable to hold. This will definitely be my go to hammer going forward.

              Soft metal!
My hammer claw bent pulling up a 2x4 bottom plate in less than six months of use. I purchased online with home depot and contacted customer service and they won’t return. Before it bent I noticed that the claw would dent easly when I would strike a nail. I checked all of the hammers in the dewalt line in store and of the claws would deform when you strike metal.

                DYI N lots of XP
I love the hammer. I have used it for demo and remodel. It is lite and less filling lol, lite and strong at the same time. I would like to buy a more expensive framing hammer but can’t justify it. This hammer gets it done.

Needs some serious design work and attention.
I bought this hammer a week ago because i needed a smooth face hammer that was a little lighter than my other dewalt waffle head. When i first pulled it out for use on the job i noticed the claw depth on the hammer was very short, but didnt think too far into it i thought maybe it was more geared towards trim nails. Then a day later i was nailing trim nails in with it and i noticed i could not send this nail in for the life of me, the hammer kept hitting the nail and sliding off of it or bending the nail, ive been swinging hammers for almost 18 years so i knew it wasnt my swing. So i looked at the head and the face of the hammer is rounded! So i figured ok maybe this hammer isnt for trim nor pulling bigger nails. So at this point i abandon the hammer and go back to my old waffle head. Two days following we were putting in a big picture window and my boss needed to use a hammer to send in some nails into the flange(roofing nails). So i told him to try the 12 oz mig weld dewalt hammer. About 20 swings in i hear him complaining about the hammer asking whats going on with it and how he couldnt send in the roofing nails without them bending or the hammer sliding off of them. So it wasnt just me. Its the hammer. Its 12 oz but the claw is too small to pull anything bigger then a 8 trim nail but cant send a trim nail in. But its also too rounded to send in roofing nails but cannot pull a roofing nail. So im really confused on what the purpose of this hammer is. Maybe it was a bad batch from the warehouse it was made in? I dont know but i went back to the store to see what the deal was and about 8 of the 12 oz dewalts are like that so im guessing bad bunch of hammers were made, or just a bad design. I’ll attach a few photos of the head but its hard to tell from a picture but it is very rounded, even to the center of the hammer.
