AnswersNo. This DeWalt Leafblower is the 60v model. The 5AH battery you have is 20v only. You need to get the new DeWalt flexvolt 60/20v batteries in either 6aH, 9aH, or 12aH for this leaf blower. Your 20v DeWalt charger however will work for the 60/20v flexvolt batteries.

Answersthey make an adapter for the 18v, it is ussally sold with/near the batteries, that you would put into your drill and the larger 60v batt will then fit. They are heavy, the larger 60v batt!!!

I recently bought two of these DeWalt 9 Ah Lithium Ion battery packs as back up batteries for my DeWalt mower as well as the other DeWalt battery-powered tools I have (chain saw and circular saw). It is great having the extra capacity so that I do not have to worry about whether I will run out of power. The batteries come with a protective cover (see picture), and there is a battery status button on the side so you always know the level of charge. I highly recommend this 9 Ah battery. It is the largest capacity DeWalt battery and well worth the cost.

Really loved this thing until I was using it to blow some snow off my porch and it just suddenly stopped. Have no idea what happened?! Less than a year old and I take very good care of my tools

This thing is a BEAST. Doesn’t last very long, but when it’s on, the power it puts out feels like a plugged-in power tool. The good news about the short lifespan is that charges back up quickly. Definitely have a backup on standby, if you’re planning on doing a full day’s worth of cutting.
