I used my dremmel tools and the orbital sander for about an hour and have no problem at all. The word "quality" is relative and could means many things. I just hope it lasts a few years.

Yes. The charger is included. I would contact DeWalt or search online for a replacement. Pretty basic charger, so it shouldn't cost that much to replace.

Why are all the negative reviews of Dewalt DXAEJ14 added to the reviews of the newly released DXAEPS14 which is actually an upgrade of DCC020IB?

Asked by RS01 April 4, 2021

The Dewalt DXAEJ14 and Dewalt DXAEPS14 are two very different power tools. Most of the negative reviews on Dewalt DXAEPS14 were actually negative reviews of the Dewalt DXAEJ14. Dewalt DXAEPS14 is a newer model of DCC020IB with jump starter as added feature. I really don't understand why they combined all those reviews. Attributing the negative reviews of the Dewalt DXAEPS14 to Dewalt DXAEPS14, I believe, is very bad for the latter's market. I don't know if HomeDepo or Dewalt itself did this but it's really a dumb move.

What kind of air compressor adapter would work to turn the tire inflator into a air blower or to blow up inflatables?

This power station has a substantial battery inside (and that makes it heavy). There are also LED lights on the back. Besides the ability to add air to tires without plugging anything in, it has a regular 110 volt circuit. If you were camping, it could supply power to lanterns, iphones, etc. easily. In our case, we sometimes have short duration power outages, and I'd plug my freezer in. Not sure how long it could handle that, but it's some peace of mind.

This is a great product, right out of the box! I had been searching for a small, portable power station to carry on our jeep. It is compact, but has all you need! With the jumper cables, no need to worry about being stuck out somewhere or needing another vehicle to get you going. The USB ports are great to keep all of your electronic devices charged up to capture that perfect moment. The air compressor is essential when trail riding. Often we need to air down tires on the trail and then air back up for the trip home. This unit did just that, quick and easy. With the light up digital readout, it is easy to see and read. This power station is all you need! It is tough and compact, making it easy to carry. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to have all of these tools in one unit and can easily carry it with you.

The DEWALT 1400 Amp Professional Digital Power Station is just the auto multi tool I was looking for. It will jump start a v8, check if the alternator is charging properly, top off a low tire, and can charge USB devices or two pronged (non grounded) corded power tools or other appliances, and also has build in twin LED work lights. My first observation is the jumper cables are a little short, but still useable. The cables are 28¾" long from unit to the end of clip. So when testing alternator or jump-starting, you have to either have a person hold the unit and second to start or find a stable place in engine to place unit. Longer cables would be nice, but also harder to store on board. Only other thing that I would change is have some place on the unit to store the wall charger. Currently there is no storage for the units power supply. The air compressor is super cool, set the psi you want and then it will stop automatically once it reaches the setting. Also has a screw on connector, so no clamping into valve stem. The compressor will go upto 120 psi. The USB and 120v ac power work great and provide 500w of power when needed, great to charge phones in a power outage, or out in woods camping. I have used all features of this tool other than jumping a dead battery, but I have full confidence it will work when needed. Loom no further if you are looking for a great tool for your veichle.

Hello. I was delivered today a DeWALT PORTABLE POWER that I bought with the intention of taking it later to Cameroon in Africa. However, I see that the input voltage ((not modifiable)) is 120 Volt; The voltage of the public network in Cameroon is 220 Volt. I will therefore have to adapt this device. What can you do to help me, please?

This Power Station is the Swiss army knife for the DIYer. I used to need jumper cables, an air pump, a battery tester, a work light, and several long outdoor power cords. Now I can just haul this power station around to get those jobs done. Within a few days of getting this I used it to pump up a tire on my mower and jump a dead battery on my wife’s car. The power station also has two 120v AC outlets and 4 USB power ports. When I used to use an electrically powered trimmer, blower or saw in the farthest reaches of my yard I had to run a couple of hundred feet of power cords back to the house. Now I can carry this power station and run them on a 25 foot cord instead. I can even use battery powered tools and keep a fresh battery charged by plugging the charger into the power station. I can see that I am going to get a lot of use from this thing.

Was looking for a more portable jump starter to replace my larger jump starter. I came across the DEWALT 1400 Amp Professional Digital Power Station and what a difference between night and day compared to it's much larger counterpart. Weighing in at 20 lbs, it powers up with 1400 peak battery amps, which ismore than enough to jump start any car and most trucks.Other features that add to the superior quality of it is an alternator check, air compressor with digital display, both which operates with ease. Also comes with 4 USB ports to charge cellphones and a 500 watt AC inverter complete with 2 outlets and a LED work light. I haven't had the opportunity to jump start a a car yet but not anticipating a problem. There's only 2 things that Dewalt should redesign on this particular model. One is the jumper cables need to be made longer. Not saying they need to be 16 feet long, but the cables are so short that when connecting them to the battery and the chassis you literally have to maneuver the unit in order to get the cables to reach what your attaching them to. Second, is the area where the cables are stored is once again just exactly big enough to wrap the cables and clamps that you better remember the exact way it was wrapped when you unpacked it because that's the only way your going to get it back on. Even though those two issues make it a pain to operate, in no way does it affect it's performance, but DeWalt's R&D unit seriously needs to reconsider these issues on future models.

This is one handy and attractive power station that is going to be put to a lot of good use. It comes with an assortment of features that anyone can use - both in an emergency and in normal situations. As far as routine things go, when the power goes out, which it does quite often in my neighborhood, it comes with four USB ports that can be used to charge your cell phones, laptops, etc. The four LED lights will also come in handy to light up a pathway throughout the house when the electricity is out. For routine matters, there is an air inflator for your tires. You simply screw the nozzle onto the valve stem of your tire, set the appropriate pressure, and the power station will automatically stop when that pressure is reached. The power station can also inflate other inflatables because it comes with an optional nozzle that is provided. Perhaps the most useful feature are the two AC power outlets, which will come in handy if there are essential items that need to be powered when the electricity is out. I haven't tried the battery starter function yet, but there is no reason to believe that that won't work when my car battery dies. It is nice just knowing that if it does, I have just the thing to charge it and I won't have to have another car pull alongside. The only "negative" that I found is that the power station is a little heavy. It is going to pretty much stay in my garage for emergencies and probably won't be moved around too much, so that is just a nit. One thing to remember is that the power station needs to be plugged in for at least 40 hours for a full charge. Some of the features, like the USB ports will function at less than full power, but if you are planning to charge a battery or use the AC plug units, it is best that it be fully charged.
