It’s a SLIDING compound miter saw. The arm slides the blade back and forth.
The mounting brackets for the miter saw have a 3/8" slots that are a minimum of 6" apart to 15 1/2" apart to allow various saws to be used. .
The discharge pipe is 1 5/8" diameter.
Yes - Hi! Look up your model on the Dewalt web page and follow the links to parts.
yes, in fact I was just using this over the weekend. There is a Allen socket head screw that can be adjusted to control depth of cut. There is also a wing nut to lock the screw in place so that the depth of cut does not wander. When you want to control depth of cut you simply flip down a small lever that will contact the head of the screw providing consistent depth of cut. You can flip the lever out of the way to go back to full cut capabilities. This allows you to go back and forth between full cut and depth of cut settings without having to readjust the socket head set screw.

XPS technology is the new LED lighting system that is used to ensure the accuracy of cuts. The old saws used to use lasers but it was never very accurate. The XPS system is aligned so that you know exactly where the blade will cut and how much wood you will lose by showing the shadow of your blade exactly on your piece of wood.

Hi - That's a lot of question! I think you should always check that the blade is square to the fence (both up and down and side to side). Adjust as needed following the instructions in the manual. If the saw was handled carefully, it should be pretty good to start. It is hard to know... I like the dewalt miter saw stand as it has the work supports that slide out on the right and left sides. And they are adjustable for the height of your saw. You can buy extra mounting brackets and mount other tools on this stand (those brackets are pretty universal - long slots, not drilled only for the dewalt saw). I have my smaller chop saw (from another brand) and a planar mounted on brackets and use them all on this stand. Dewalt does make a shorter stand that takes the same mounting brackets and doesn't have the sliding work supports. It is much lighter for mobile work, but you give up a lot of the capabilities. I use that just when I have to do a quick job and know I am not going to need to support long work (or have a helper I can coax into holding the work...).
buy it...best investment for your saw...and you can hang in on the wall when not in use
