I have not ever looked for a case for the saw itself
As an owner of this saw, I can confirm that the DWS709 nameplate only indicates acceptable input power as 120V AC 60Hz. This means 240V AC 50Hz is not acceptable input power for this model. There may be other models better suited to meet your requirements.
There is no difference. The terms most used are (dual bevel) and (single bevel).
I have not been able to find a 799 model anywhere. If you are looking at an older saw, then these are probably the differences; 709 doesn't have as wide a cut capacity and is lacking several other features such as a laser guide and an adjustable cam for depth of cut. We have several older 799s on the job. The lasers go out and no one ever used the depth of cut adjustment. I purchased a 709 several years ago for personal use and actually installed the depth of cut adjuster after buying the parts from DeWalt. Saved several hundreds of dollars by doing it this way. The 799 is not worth the price difference.
There is a star shaped lock screw on the right side of the slides that allows you to lock the saw carrier any where along the slides.
the 709 cuts 3" thicker but weighs about 15 pounds less than the 779. In looking at the two items, this is all I see. of course you can compare the two and see this yourself.
I bought this for my husband and I went with the sliding because it allows for a broader range of cuts. It allows for a larger variety of wood sizes to be cut. He is a contractor and loves it, it actually was used on a job site for a couple of months.
This saw uses 12" diameter blades with a 5/8" arbor.
No, this saw will not accept the DEWALT laser system.
