I put down oak hardwood in my living room. Bought these nails because i was there picking up something else. My orig floor was subfloor with old rock hard floor tile over. After talking with some other flooring guys i know i just put down silent floor and nailed through everything. They are outstanding. About two thirds across the floor i ran out and went to pick up more nails. They only had aftermarket grip rite in stock. Got home laid 6 pieces of floor and on the last piece i notice give in the board. All 6 pieces the grip rites folded under the board and never even penetrated the tile or subfloor. Was not happy and will not buy china made nails again. The extra 2 to 3 dollars is worth it.

I've used these cleats for several floors and they don't disappoint. I use the Dewalt air assisted floor nailer and have had no issues with the pair. I mostly install prefinished 3/4" flooring and believe the cleats hold better than staples. Call me traditional, but I have no time for call backs on a squeaky floor.
