          Falling apart
I was really excited to finally get this compressor it took about two weeks for it to come in the online tracking sucks it gave me like 3 different dates for it to come in I lost two days of work because of it the compressor looks nice just doesn’t work after 5 minutes the belt falls off the wheels they really need to do better quality control especially if your spending this amount of money I thought the quality was going to be great I’m very disappointed I have video of the belt falling off but will not let me upload

The DEWALT 20 Gallon 200 PSI electric air compressor is a beast. It shipped completely assembled except for the tote handle which took about 1 minute to install. This is a belt driven oil lubricated twin cylinder cast iron construction compressor which should provide many years of service. The oil reservoir is filled from the factory. Just make sure to check the easy view window for the oil level before using. I wanted this unit for the additional run time capacity that my smaller Husky 6-gallon compressor couldn’t handle when using pneumatic tools such as impact drivers and heavy duty framing nail guns. This unit is much quieter than my smaller air compressor which is nice. True to DEWALT quality, this unit appears to be of industrial grade quality. Regarding job site transportation, it wheels quite easily, but you better have help loading and unloading the unit from your truck as it weighs in at 150 lbs +. I absolutely do not consider this as a deterrent as the weight is a function of the compressors capacity and quality of build. Make sure to pay attention to the operational instructions when using an extension cord and use the recommended gauge. Other than that, the compressor is ready to use out of the crate. I have already used this unit with an impact driver to remove and install lug nuts on my truck, and it performed flawlessly. It has a dual stage regulator, one which monitors the tank pressure and one to adjust the compressed air output. In summary, I am extremely pleased with the units build, capacity and quality. I have included a few pictures below. I would highly recommend this unit.

So I needed a compressor that was Durable, Quality as well as mobile. There are a lot of them out their but they lack Quality. I needed a compressor that can do it all from high compressed air for cleaning out an engine compartment to filling up our tires on our vehicles to using some of our air tools to include my motorcycle air lift. It needed to be mobile as well and high in capacity (wow this one has 200PSI which is hard to find in a 20GAL compressor). This Dewalt 20GAL met my needs. First I have to say that every Dewalt product I have bought is still working in my tools , If I replaced one it was just to have the newer technology. You can just look at this compressor and see the quality of workmanship as well as high end components. I ran the compressor through a few day long tests. I wanted to see if it would leak. I first broke it in (important to read the manual), I was very surprised how quiet it was. I filled the tank and let it sit there for an entire day, the psi indicator did not move, sweet! I drain it and filled it up again and used it to blow up some large tires we had on an atv, work with out an issue. Ran my Air cutting tool no problem. Mobility is really easy and comes with air filled tires so moving it around was a breeze. I should note that you should plug it into a 20amp circuit as my 15amp could not handle its load also this compressor does not come with anything so you will need a hose as well as connectors and any air tools you would need. I bought a really nice set of connectors at Home depot as mine were very old. I truly am impressed with this compressor, it remind me of the one my dad had that lasted forever you just can't go wrong with Dewalt.

DEWALT 20 Gal. 200 PSI Portable Horizontal Electric Air Compressor One thing every homeowner would really enjoy having in their garage is an air compressor. You can check your tires on your cars and bicycles; use it to clean off parts; use it for painting. Heck, you can do so much with an air compressor. So when the Home Depot Seeds teamed up with Dewalt and offered their new 20 Gallon 200 PSI Portable Horizon Electric Air Compressor, I was all over it. I've been wanting one and this opportunity was too good to pass up. I promptly ordered it. It was shipped several days later by common freight carrier. It arrived safely, securely, no damages. The compressor comes assembled, ready to use with the exception of one part: the handle. This easily attaches by inserting all the way into the two steel tubes and then tightening the bolts down against the handle which will not allow it to slide out. The compressor construction is impressive. Great welding and a heavy coat of paint. It almost appears as if there is some kind of protective coating within the paint that keeps the tank well preserved. It has a slight texture to it. Nothing obtrusive. But you can tell it is there. Other Dewalt tools I have have the same coating. The motor is an oil based unit and comes filled from the factory. The pulley assembly has a very nice guard encasing it. The guard is painted and also preserved with some kind of coating similar to the compressor tank. The pump crankcase has an oil sight glass on it with FULL and ADD markings on it. The pump is a 2 cylinder, single stage, cast iron crankcase, with an aluminum head. Oil capacity is 16 fl oz. The tank has two wheels which are bolted to the side of the tank on each side. The tank is not meant to be moved by its wheels up stairs. You must use a ramp or carry it with two people, or risk damaging the axle assemblies. On the bottom front of the tank is a drain valve. The valve moves on a lever "open" or "closed". Dewalt recommends you drain the tank after every use, removing most air through a hose, and then releasing the rest through the tank drain valve. This prevents water from accumulating inside the tank due to condensation. The tank is rated for 200 PSI. Air delivery is stated 6.2 SCFM @ 90 PSI. Fill time is about 5-7 minutes. This compressor does require a minimum 20 AMP circuit to use. It will work on a 15 amp but nothing else should be on that circuit or the compressor may fail to start. Tank controls have an auto feature which keeps the pressure maximized while using, or an off setting which will just let the air drain from the tank until expended. There are both safety and check valves on the system. The air intake is filtered. The compressor does have a built in pressure regulator that is easy to set with gauge. Overall the compressor is a joy to have. It works nicely. Not too loud but you know it is there. The tank fits nicely in the garage and serves its purpose well. I've had no issues with it. I rate this compressor 5*s out of 5. You can't go wrong with it as a homeowner. I cannot speak for contractors who use air tools constantly. I do not see why this can not keep up with your tasks. Thank you Dewalt for offering this compressor to me. Thank you Home Depot for allowing me to try it.

This compressor is great. I like it ! LIKES: - This is a good solid machine; good quality - It has simple controls...and it is simple to operate. - There are two pressure gauges (tank pressure and compressor pressure). - It has a simple on-off switch. - The tank allows variable pressures up to 200psi, which is plenty of pressure for inflating tires & basketballs, using pneumatic tools, or blowing out your sprinkler system each fall. - It has a knob dial to raise & lower the tank pressure to the desired psi setting. - The unit comes up pressure in about 5 to 6 minutes - Easy assembly: just bolt on the handle OTHER OBSERVATIONS: NOTE: There are lots of safety notices and precautions to be aware about. It also has a good safety cage around the pulley & belt assembly. NOTE: Part of the compressor shut down procedure calls for opening the drain valve on the tank to allow any condensed water to drain out. Don't drain it on your driveway or garage floor as it will leave a nice rust colored stain for you to clean up. DISLIKES: - Minor point: No hose fitting accessories are included but you can purchase a basic kit from the HD web site basic: (25 ft hose, tire inflation fitting, air gun with 4 nozzles, ball inflation needles etc). - Another minor point: It has pneumatic tires. I am not a big fan of pneumatic tires on "wheel around" equipment and accessories. Temperature changes over time (i.e. summer/winter) make it necessary to check the tire inflation and top them off periodically. Airless tires would have been better; they work just fine and need less maintenance.

We always have use for an air compressor, and this one so far is one of the best we have had. Time will tell. There is really nothing to setup, just install the handle. It was easy to move around on the wheels. And it pays to thoroughly read the use and care manual. The air compressor pump was filled with oil at the manufacturer. There is a "break in procedure", This procedure is required before the air compressor is put into service. It's pretty quiet compared to other compressors we have had, quieter then a push lawn mower at 76 dBA (the video makes it sound louder then it really is). We use it for basic tasks, filling tires on our tractor, ATV, RTV, cleaning and sometimes with nail guns and staplers. Its a 20 Gal. Air Compressor with a cast iron, twin-cylinder, oil-lubricated pump. The compressor has a heavy-duty induction motor for maximum performance and efficiency with 1.9 RHP. This dual voltage motor is wired for a standard 120-volt outlet and can also be converted for 240-volt applications,155 max psi for optimum tool performance. At 34.29 depth, 22.79 width, and 34.5 height we need to find a suitable place in our garage to place it so its not in the way, but easily available when we need to use it. Great product!

Easy to set up. Pretty quick tank fill, and much quieter than the old Craftsman it replaced.
