AnswersIf by type you mean 20max DeWalt batteries then yes. This will drain batteries quickly so you’d want to use a higher amp hour battery. You’d probably be using a smaller battery on a brad nailer.
does this work for vacuuming charcoal ash?

AnswersI don't see why not as long as the ash is not hot. the black part of the vacuum is where the ash would go and its made of plastic that would not take heat

AnswersYes it can. It's not made to do the job daily but yes for occasionally use. If you use it all the time the fibe dust will eventually wear it out prematurely

Great Sander
Have used this alot and does a great job. Pros and cons to having it battery operated. I like the flexabilty of not messing around with a power cord, but I go through batterys really quickly... I dont know if the sander drains the battery really quickly or if i need to buy new batterys! I like the setting to change power output from low to more powerful.

Be prepared to pay to keep it working. I loved dewalt. Over the last 15 years. But they appear to be becoming, guarenteed junk. So sad. This is the 20v half gal vac

The Walt pulls it out of the hat!!!
"20volt Magic" is what they should call this puppy. Tyler said the corded version would work better, but then he tripped over the cord. So, battery power it is.
I use this to sand down small projects around the house and even have a photo to show some of the work it does. Not bad and yes it even hammers in the nails. Good multi-tool and no cords to trip you up. Also works great with other lithium batteries from the Walt.
The dust bag is really small tho and doesn't hold a lot. So I just take it off and complain to myself about how much saw dust there is.

20v Flex volt 6.0 ah costs $159.00
And the other small battery costs some money also.
I got all five items from Home Depot for $279.99
Very happy about those tools
Especially impact gun has also 3 speed switch so awesome.

Not as uasual
I just bought this vacuum today, tried and it ran for a minute then stop, it wouldn’t run again, sat it for a few minutes turned on and it ran for a few seconds. Left it for two hours turned on it ran about 30 seconds then stopped. I’m getting frustrated. I have a few other dewalt tools that are always reliable and I’m satisfied with them but this vacuum is different. I’ll check battery and see what happen. If problem still there I’ll probably switch brand.

great cordless sander!
Been wanting this since it came out. Finally got it and glad i did. I mainly make stuff for my kids out of wood. Wagons,signs for their walls,their names,toys,team logos etc etc. This makes it so easy to just whip out and sand away. Has plenty of power and uses 8 hole orbital sandpaper. I bought the bare tool for 119.99. Comes with nice dust catcher that easily goes on and off.Has variable speed which is nice. Happy i picked it up. Grab one you wont be disapointed
