Two very very very good machine the best

Great saw, it does everything I needed it to do. I only have one complaint. It doesn't blow the sawn dust away. That's not cause for me to return it, I'm not going to be using on a daily basis. Just something to consider if you're interested in purchasing it.

It is nice for little projects but eats a lot of battery.

Excellent addition to my tool set. Lightweight and durable, with plenty of power. I use this saw everyday. Easy to use, and it has no problem keeping up with the speed of work!!! "More Doing", more done!!! Thanks!!!

I am, generally speaking a DeWalt fan, owning several of their products. My Bosch jigsaw recently failed because of a poorly designed blade holder, so I bought this Dewalt hoping to improve my luck. My luck didn't change. I have to join the chorus of those mentioning the "blades fall out" after an inch or two of movement. ( I am using the "t-shank" jig saw blades.) I think this is a design failure too, for these reasons: The product works fine with the thicker blades one might use in a jig saw, but as one moves to the more narrow blades, like those used on metal, the blades fall out almost every time. In fact, with a really narrow blade, once it is properly seated and "locked in place" you can just jiggle it with you hand and it will fall out. Visually one can see that part of the holding mechanism just doesn't seem to really lock the blade as they get smaller. I did call DeWalt to see it they were aware of the problem and if they had a fix for it and I was courteously told they had no information on this issue. I guess they don't read bad reviews...I would have thought they would have someone assigned to that task. Two additional thoughts: This thing is very heavy. And the bevel mechanism locks and it takes severe pressure to move it from its default position. In the included photo the two blades on the left which are thicker, work fine, the two on the right both simply fall out after a second or two...not good. So I am off to do more research in hopes of finding a better product.

This is a great tool. I love that it has a variable speed, pressure sensitive. I am a DIYer and I got this a year ago on sale and it performs as well today as it did on day one

I fix, flip and remodel houses for a living. So I pretty much do anything and everything that has to do with houses. I originally bought the combo set with the older DCD995 hammer drill and impact driver. I was very impressed with how the 995 kept up when my other drills from another company couldn't. After upgrading today I gave my new drills a good test run. Today I really got a feel for the DCF887 impact driver. Right now I'm doing a full master bathroom tile job with tons of tile to be done. So that means lots of hardibacker and lots of screws. I really like the 3 speed transmission on the new impact. 1 being slow, 2 being normal and 3 being VERY fast. As for the hammer drill I only really used it today for some average sized hole saw cuts in hardibacker. But, the work light is much brighter and the 20 minute work light setting is very bright. All in all I'm still impressed with the XR brushless line from Dewalt.
