Great Tool for the Home or Business!
I purchased this Dewalt Grinder to assist with sharpening my riding mower blades. I have a lot of Dewalt cordless equipment so I wanted to make good use of the batteries I have already.
First, I will say this grinder has some serious torque. Just by activating the trigger you feel the tool twist in your hand from the torque.

I used this grinder to sharpen my mower blades and as you can see it did a great job. It was easy to control and the brake for the disc slowed the grinder pad soon after I released the trigger. This will prevent unwanted damage and injury. This is a tool you didn't know you needed, until you don't have it. I have attached photos of the mower blades. Be careful when purchasing this battery. I purchased with the Dewalt DCD791P1 (Brushless XR 20v drill/driver). This battery was listed on HD's site as option. The battery has the same model number as the battery that came with the drill, but did not seat properly on the charger and lock in place. The pin design on this battery was different than the battery that came with the drill. It would not charge at all because the design differences. Date codes on both drill battery and this battery were both 2020. The drill battery has a set of 6 independent slots for the pins in the middle (picture). The battery that HD had for this one has 5 taller slots like the 2 outer ones in my picture. Another indicator is the black piece in the grooved area. Battery supplied with drill is as shown, but the battery I received was all yellow.

When my son was young I had a basketball hop installed in our yard. The installer not only cemented the post into the ground he poured cement into the post. I wanted to remove it but couldn't decide which power tool to purchase for the project. I originally decided on a reciprocating saw but decided it wouldn't cut the post as close to the ground as this DeWALT Grinder. This tool did the job perfectly. However, the grinding disc supplied with the tool wasn't quite suitable to the job so I purchased a Rigid Metal Cutting Diamond Blade. This combination was perfect for the project and did exactly what I wanted. It not only cut through the steel but the cement as well. I would highly recommend this tool as well as DeWALT tools as well!

works as intended- slapped the cup grinder on this baby and the mortar magically disappeared...even taking with it the dust after putting on the dust shroud. Simple, easy to use and put together, easy to hold and if you already have a couple 20v batteries this is a great value addition to use with those batteries.

This was a necessary purchase while doing disaster relief in Puerto Rico. Having the ability to preview the store inventory and therefore not face travel woes with the battery was nice. One battery this size lasts for a long time either in my circular saw or reciprocating saw. Thank you DW!!
