I thought it would be of quality because it said dewalt. This product lasted 4 months. No longer holds a charge. The air compressor just stopped working. The cable length on the jumper cables cables is a joke at best. The USB ports stopped working 2 months in; the lights are on the backside making them worthless. Very disappointed

Thanks for your feedback. Per the instruction manual, we do not recommend running the compressor for more than ten minutes without allowing for a 30 minute cooldown. Using it for 20 minutes could have overheated the compressor. Please consult your instruction manual and don't hesitate to contact our Customer Support Team for further assistance with this issue 1.877.571.2391 (Toll-Free) / CustomerService@BaccusLLC.com

Have used it 2x so far and it is awesome. Jump started my rv without a problem. I like that the cables are detachable so they aren't in the way during storage. Also aired up my car tire pretty quickly. The hose stows away easily so It's not falling out all the time. It's heavy but that's to be expected. I love it!!

Incredible - Works with CPAP
So I'm heading out on a 4,000 mile RV trip from Boulder to Sarasota and back. After reading the reviews here on HD, I was hesitant to purchase this but I went ahead and I bought this to have with me for everything it offers, including powering my Resmed AirSense 10 CPAP machine so I don't have to run the generator at night to activate the a/c outlets in the RV.
The more portable CPAP battery pack to run the AirSense 10 is $350 and that is all it does is provide power. This DeWalt offers much more and perfect for off the grid trips in my Jeep or RV power at night for personal accessories.
Got it home last night and read the directions. Charged it for 5 hours until all 4 bars were solid, and then some. I will tell you it is heavy, but then again, it has 2 batteries in it with a 1000 watt power inverter, an air compressor and will jump start your vehicle with up to 2800 amps.
I took it in my bedroom and hooked up my iPhone USB (which was just about dead) and my Resmed AirSense 10 CPAP Machine to see if it would run. Many reviews here state that it would not run consistently. I'm here to tell you it will. It powered my Resmed AirSense 10 CPAP machine and charged my iPhone for 7 hours sleep and I still have a solid 2 bars left on the LCD Display of the Dewalt 2800. I had the AirSense's humidifier on and set to 7, tube temp set to 75 and Auto and it ran perfectly fine. The odd thing is even with the AirSense off - the Dewalt showed 20-30W of usage. With it on and running, the Dewalt would fluctuate between 25w-50w.
So for any CPAP user out there running the Resmed AirSense 10 with the same power supply (pic attached), I'm here to tell you it works great and didn't skip a beat.
I will post a follow up if anything changes during the trip.

Thanks for your feedback. Please note that since this unit produces a modified sine wave output, we don't recommend using it with medical equipment like a CPAP machine.

The first one we got, the buttons stuck in the on position after only one or two uses tailgating. Home Depot was really good about replacing it. The second one, all the buttons collapsed inward and we can’t operate it at all and this is after only about four, maybe five uses. So this is really not well made at all.

My 1000 peak amp starter would not even crank my Mercedes Sprtinter RV. So I went to Home Depot and asked what is the best booster for my RV. I bought the 2800 hooked it up right out the box and it started my RV right up. I even used it for my refridger during a power outage and it kept going for over two hours until the power came back on. Wish I would of bought it sooner. GREAT PRODUCT

A lot of reviews complain about the weight and shortness of the cords. First, if you can put this in and out of your trunk there's no reason you can't lift it to your hood. The cables are short but I find plenty of room on my core support to hold it. My alternator went on me while camping in the colorado mountains. I had to jump my car at least eight times to "leap frog" to my nearest gas station. I'm not a weight lifter, I had zero problems moving it around. I did have to carry it up a mountain but only about 1/2 mile and THAT was tough. Carrying it around my car was not hard. There's a lot of babies out here. Back to the alternator issue, at the gas station I bought jumper cables because it was pouring rain, I left the unit inside my car and ran the jumper cables out my window to the battery under the hood. The cables were 12ft long and the unit couldn't start my car as easily. I firmly believe the shorter cables do a more efficient job of jumping the car, the longer, the more resistance. That said, I let it sit hooked up for twenty minutes with the unit in the jump position. This actually charged my battery. So this can charge a dead battery on top of jumping. That lead me to my next discovery, since it charged the battery & I had no alternator I left it all hooked up with the unit in the jump position and was able to run my car off the jump starter for about 8 miles to my local garage. I could've gone further. So this saved me from getting an expensive tow by using it essentially as my car battery.
The USB ports are great to have when camping or otherwise. However plugging in an iPad & an IPhone 7 plus simultaneously was too much for it. The USB ports stopped working for an entire charge cycle after trying this. It will charge them both simultaneously but not for long. So plug in one device at a time to play it safe.
The air compressor has worked well, I have noticed mine overinflates slightly above my selected PSI, I assume this is so you can remove it and have some air leak out yet end up with your desired PSI setting.
The power inverter/120v outputs are great to have. I recharge drone batteries off this unit and it works amazingly well. I was able to recharge about 8 Mavic Pro batteries off it on top of jumping a car and a couple cell phone charges.
It often takes over 24 hours to recharge. So make sure you keep that in mind when recharging it.
I have not tested the alternator check feature just yet.
I love this thing. Highly suggested.

GOOD JUMP STARTER AND MORE
Was looking for a emergency jump starter with compressor. Found this DeWalt product with all that was asking for and more. With 2800 peak amps, it's more than enough power to jump start even the weakest battery. Tried out the 120 psi compressor to inflate my tire with the feature of setting the psi of your tire there is no need to keep checking the pressure. The added pluses are 2 110v outlets for tools, usb ports, 2 very bright LED work lights on the back and an alternator tester. Now, of course with every plus there is a minus. In the description of the jump starter it states the cord length is 3 ft. This in itself is extremely short considering the unit is 40 lbs. so holding it while jump starting is out of the question and limited to where you can actually place it on your car. But when I went to test it out the cords didn't seem to be 3 ft. After measuring them found that from the tip of the plug to the tip of the clamps the length was only 31.5" and the length of the cord itself in between the two was only 24". So either Dewalt has to update their description or give a longer set of cables for a 40 lb. unit and when I say longer I mean longer than 3 ft. as they list so you can rest the unit somewhere other than on the top of the engine compartment while trying to balance it. For this reason, even with as many features and power it has, I'm going to have to vote against recommending this product until that problem is corrected.

I had to replace my old jump pack of 5 years as it could no longer hold an adequte charge. Needed to pump air in a tire and it would always die on me. So I went over to the old Home Depot and check out what they had. I was going to settle for the 1400w version, then i noticed this one had a 1000w inverter, those come in handy when your out and about, especially when your camping. It compressed air no problem, and I used some tools in the backyard from the inverter alone. So far I'm impressed. Its got a little storage bag for your jumpers and the USB plugs light up which is nice in the dark. It also has LED lights in the back and backlit display. The price is steep but it's got quite a bit of bell and a whole lot of whitsle. Only thing the set me back is the DeWalt website does not list this item on it's site. I wanted to register it for the Warranty and it's not there. Bummer. It's quite an investment for the price but I feel that I will turn to this Item for years to come.

Not Just a Jumper Pack!
The Dewalt 2800 Peak Amp Jump Starter 1000-Watt Power Inverter with Digital Compressor has multiple uses. The compressor can fill up your cars tires or bike tires depending on what you set the digital psi setting to. Of course you have the jumper pack option to start your car when your battery is dead. The LCD screen lets you know if you have the cables connected properly. The cables connect to the rear of the pack. On the rear is also the plug to recharge the power supply. There are 2 ac plugs and also 2 USB ports for charging things like cell phones, tablets, etc. There is also a pair of LED lights on the rear of the pack. This pack should come in real handy for a power outage! I have also used the power pack to supply power to tools where there is no electricity. I do have to say that this power pack is heavy, but if you want power that is the cost. I would recommend this power pack.
