Water inlet leak
Finishing the back yard pavers, I noticed water coming out of the back of the water inlet. I am not happy spending $589 to have this type of issues the 1rst day of use. I paid more for DeWalt to get better product. Did I make a mistake? I was upgrading from XR2750 that I had for over 16 yrs. I was looking for more psi and durability. Read that some people have bypassed the sensor, does this affect the performance of the Pressure? I’m hesitant to replace it w/ another one that might do the same

      Everything I was looking for
This pressure washer met all my requirements for purchase. Electric start, over 3200 psi, gas line cut off valve, small and light enough to lift into my truck. After adding oil and gas and some minor assembly it started right up and ran well. It seemed like a great pressure washer untill i noticed a puddle of oil under it that was apparently coming from the pump head. I have owned several pressure washers. Non of them ever leaked oil. Thats the last thing you would need. Fresh oil stains on a surface your trying to clean. It also has a plastic water supply hose coupling with a pressure switch that kept twisting and spraying fine streams of water everywhere. Who would design plastic into a high use, high stress part like that. I really wanted to like this unit but not with the two mentioned problems. Back it went!

        Half way Job
So, I got this model from my local HD store. I must say, the machine runs great, but where the water-hose plugs in there is o-ring that came undone, it looks to me like a designed flaw. I got half way to finishing my drive way and had to break it down and drain the gas to return it. I hope DeWalt looks further into this since I wasted a lot of my time dealing with a defective product.

          Strong Washer/Bad Design
This really is a good powerful pressure washer. But... first use, as others have mentioned, the water inlet with the attached sensor all but came off due to the strain on the hose. Also, the two rubber feet are attached with aluminum rivets. One of them came off too! So, i took the water inlet stem off with the attached sensor and bypassed it completely. Also, i removed the other foot drilled two quarter inch holes through the frame and bolted them on. Good strong running unit, just questionable engineering. I also added a soap resevoir off of an old PW i had, so i dont have to lug around a bucket of soap.

I went through the assembly and start-up procedures per the supplied instructions but the engine would not start. I reached out to the manufacturer and was asked to do a bypass of the water pressure sensor. I did as instructed and the engine immediately started. I spoke with the National Service Manager who was very helpful ( he sent me the bypass instructions. The customer service from Don was exceptional. I will be getting a new pressure bypass unit next week but tried the unit with the bypass and was very happy with the power and cleaning it did on my patio furniture. The only thing I don't care for on the unit is the wand holder which doesn't work well, the wand is heavy on the handle end and drops off the holder.

I like Dewalt approach to make their product last. With pressure washers you absolutely cannot run them dry as water lubricate and cool axial high pressure pump. But a mere fact that you have verified that water is running through the pump before engine start doesn't save you from situations like kids turn off water to prank you while you pressure washing or old hose burst or something else that will cut water to the pump while engine is on. Well not with Dewalt, first thing that I noticed is water flow sensor on the inlet. It will cut engine ignition off if there is no water flow. Note: water flow, not water pressure. Manual also says that engine will shutdown in a couple of seconds if pump is idle. The problem with idle is that it is also has wearing effect on axial pump since no water leaves the pump to take away friction heat. Engine also has oil level sensor that will cut ignition on low oil level. To compensate for idle shutdowns pressure washer has 12V battery electric start. It also has a pull cord if battery depleted. Electrical wiring has connectors so you can easily by-pass safety features like water flow sensor. But that is probably done for the ease of troubleshooting if something goes wrong. One thing that surprised is that pressure washer has activated carbon canister to lower evaporative emissions. This gasoline flow through this canister on a way from tank to carburetor. This canister is also probably refreshes old gasoline to facilitate engine start after winter season if left with no conditioners. Pressure washer also have wide pressurized wheels. It's easily to roll over mud than those with narrow zero-maintenance wheels. Frame is lowered to make it easier to pull it up on deck stair case.

First things first, this is not a pro or commercial model, so sure, there could be better materials used or features included and if you’re looking for those, spend a little more for a pro model. That said, this is still a $500 unit, so in my opinion, there are A few minor cons that should have been addressed: Cons: Bullet connector on battery is very difficult to disconnect. Stickers haphazardly and crookedly stuck on he battery box- looks a little lame. Exposed wires could get snagged some sealed with water proof connection, some not. One female bullet connection (see pic) open with nothing to plug into Throttle is not labeled at all. Choke and fuel shut off are labeled very well. Manual is not very helpful and images on the quick start guide are not super clear. Unit came with a clear plastic hose - no idea what it’s for and not called out in the manual. Pros: Love the big air filled tires. Rolls like a champ. I didn’t think I’d love the battery start, but it works really well despite being poorly stickered Tip holder is very functional and looks nice Tip options are adequate and complete Air filter acessable Nice heat shroud on the muffler to prevent burns Packed really nice in the box and the only assembly required was to fill with the included oil, and screw on the handle with some star nuts. For the few cons listed, none of them affect the performance of the unit and it works very well! Starts easy with with electric start, sprays and cleans great! Tips switch out easily. All connections are tight. Some ppl mentioned a problem with the water pressure sensor (on the hose IN valve) leaking but I ran it for 30 minutes and didn’t have any problems with it. 5 star unit for residential use! I’d recommend it!

This is one powerful pressure washer. At 3400 PSI max output, it packs quite the punch. The first time I used it, my arm got tired from holding the sprayer at the truck I was washing. It was kindof like a steady push hard enough to worry me that it could take off anytime it wanted too. Now the power control is actually a throttle on the engine so you can vary the amount of washing capability using the engine speed versus some other method. There are 5 nozzle selections to have low pressure soap application, pin point hi pressure, then 3 other width fan nozzles. The electric starter is real nice and the battery is contained on the handles. You are also supplied with a battery charger, which when you want to use it, you have to unplug the starter motor cable, then plug in the charger cable, and of course that charger then plugs into a 120VAC wall outlet. The charger shows a red light while charging, then when fully charged it shows a green light. There is a supplied clear vinyl tube with filter for liquid soap application, but if there was 1 thing I would do to improve this unit, it would be to have a small tank for soap solution onboard. To use soap you must have an external bottle or tube of soap solution so that is a bit of a pain. The unit comes with no oil in the engine so you must remember to use the supplied oil and fill the engine prior to first use. The hand wand sets into a side holder, but you must disconnect the high pressure hose for storage. Same goes for the hose storage, it must be disconnected for proper storage. There are 2 rubber pressed on feet to maintain the units position while in use, and these can come off if the unit is dragged on them, so be careful to make sure you do not drag the unit. All in all this is a real powerhouse washer, and you should be able to clean just about anything with it without any issues. Have fun and happy washing. I highly recommend this pressure washer.

This is a very powerful pressure washer. I like the electric start feature. The engine started the first time with the electric starter. The charger for the battery has an LED on it that shows "red" when charging and "green" when charged. The spray tip holder is the best I have seen on any of the pressure washers that I have owned. I like the rubber pneumatic tires on this pressure washer. This is much better than the plastic wheels on my old pressure washer. I was disappointed that some of the wiring was rubbing on one of the tires. So I loosened the nuts on the starter and repositioned the wires away from the tire, and retightened the nuts. Overall a very nice powerful pressure washer with lots of features.
