Very disappointed!
As a Dewalt tool owner who has spent tens of thousands on Dewalt products this tape measure is an utter disappointment. Like most tool loving people I have two tape measures. My go to tape measure, and the one you use when you can't find your go to tape measure. I received this tape measure as a gift and was pretty excited as I had no clue where my go to tape measure went. Almost immediately I noticed the first two feet approx always role over which make this tape measure useless. Unable to take vertical measurements or horizontal ones. It seems like the tape itself is made to thin. Needless to say I no longer will be buying Dewalt tape measures as this one it utter garbage to be honest.

Garbage
Absolute garbage tape measure. Will not retract properly, the last time I used it the tape got wedged inside, can't pull the tape out now. Wouldn't matter anyways, tape is cracked at the spot it got wedged, useless now, never again buying a DeWalt.

The tape measure I received in not the tape measure that is in the pictures on the Home Depot web...
The tape measure I received in not the tape measure that is in the pictures on the Home Depot website. The only reason I considered ordering this tape is because the tape in the pictures and the video showcased the big hook at the end of the tape measure and they advertise the tape having 1 1/4" wide tape I measured it to be 1 1/8". With all of the other problems I have had with Home Depot in the past 2 weeks I don't know if I will continue doing business with them. Bait and Switch is not good business.

recoil sucks
Used it ome time, for about a 20’ measurement. Not only did it no recoil. It bunch up and is now stuck out 7” no matter how much i spool it back out

Falls apart
So I’ve owned this just over 2 years with minimal usage. Bought to replace a Stanley that broke. I don’t know how the numbers are put on but it’s poorly done. A large section of the tape came right off. Now it’s worthless. The magnet is good but meaningless without numbers. Will probably go back to a Stanley.

2 tapes 2 minutes
Own 2 of rhe 25ft tapes. Im a home improvement contractor so use tape measure non stop. Been struggling find a tape measure i like ever since stanley did away with the max steel. This tape worked/was my new favorite until i have 2 of them 2 months old and had one break off at 2 inch mark today walked to the truck grabbed second in pulled it out measure a board and it snapped off as well at 7inch mark. Wish it could be warrantied or replaced by dewalt as they are not a cheap tape measure ro buy
