I am supplementing a size I don't have yet with my Bessey clamps so that is natuarally my my comparison after owning the Bessey's for a few years now. After some use I have to say the DeWalt version is pretty good. I actually like the shaft even better than the Bessey if I'm honest. No little ridges means less glue drips will stick and head movements along the rail is super smooth. When tightening the cam also seems to lock a easier which is my biggest complaint with a Bessey. The only knock is the Dewalt clamp has no hard rubber clamping surface that is also removable. Rather it's a hard plastic which will dent/mushroom if it gets dinged (say it falls of your bench) Other than sanding it smooth again you can't really replace it if it becomes damaged. They say you can never have too many clamps and I would be happy to keep filling out my collection with a few more of these.

Quick Review : As an active DIYer this was great, worked well for my projects. This lost a star because the quick release lever did not work that often. It's like it worked when it wanted to. More In Depth Review: I used this clamp to clamp landscaper timber to a 2x12 piece of lumber. I was using the 2x12 as backing to stabilize the two ends. I also used this to attach 2- 2x12 pieces together. It was a little difficult only because the quick release lever was not working too well. You push the handle in or pull up to activate it but sometimes it did not work. Could be DIYERror, I probably did not loosen it to the proper setting. Either way, still a great product Once clamped, this held the work pieces together well. Very strong, made of non marring material so it did not scratch up the surfaces which is good. I have not used this in conjunction with wood glue, but I am confident this will work well, as the grip is very strong when clamped together

This 24" parallel bar clamp by DeWalt is a great clamp to have in any workshop. It is a very heavy duty, well made product. It has smooth jaws so it will not mark up your project yet it can produce up to 1500 pounds of clamping force. It has a nice 3 3/4" throat which makes it a go-to clamp for a lot of my woodworking projects. DeWalt lists this as a 24" clamp, however, it will open to a max of 25". The bar does not have any cross groves on the top like my Bessey clamps do which like to collect glue during panel glue ups. I do wish this clamp clamp had the removable clamp caps like the Bessey does but is diffidently not a deal breaker. This clamp should last for years and I will be buying more of them. Another great feature is you can change this from a clamp to a spreader fast by pulling one pin and reversing a clamp end.

Very sturdy clamp. Good throat length. The width of the clamp jaws are wider then normal thus reducing the chance that you will dent the wood. The clamp shaft is sturdy. Very good holding power and easier to tighten than the grip style. The far end piece is movable to help position the clamp in a level position and exposes a hole in the end of the shaft that can be used to hang up the clamp. The center jaw moves easily along the shaft. The unit is heavy so it's best to set that clamp on a workbench and then lay the wood between the jaws

Great clamps. I have 20+ bessy parallel clamps. The dewalt are better quality and price.

I’m sure it works fine, but it was much heavier than I anticipated and very clunky to use. You might need two people to use it.
