missing piece
This item was never actually received and despite photos and “chat” they won’t refund the money. Fedex apparently either lost or stole my item and Home Depot will not make it right

My favorite circular saw to date
I purchased it for a deck remodel project at my bother house. We removed the old deck boards and installed synthetic boards as well as correcting some sags and age related issues.
This saw cut through all the old deck boards and all the new synthetic boards without issue. We used up two 6 hour batteries in the process which surprised me as I expected to go though many more.
What I like best is the reach and the way it feels in your hand. Dewalt got this one right in so many ways.

Great Deal
Would highly recommend. Bought this with the free tool deal and got the 1/2 inch compact impact. Works amazingly. Batteries charge fast and impact has plenty of power and last a long time.

Very handy and easy to transport.
I'm super happy with this tool. I build a small fence using this saw to make all the cuts, battery never run out and the cuts where perfect. I even cut the 4 x 4 posts. Super handy and easy to use. Light weight. The only thing I don't like is the safety lock, it was kind of a pain to get used to it, but I guess is good for the use of the saw.

Not same product as pictured
Purchased this and added the 5in orbital to my yellow and black kit. Claims to be an XR battery kit but the 4ah battery shows no XR labeling or looks the same as pictured. Overall it's a good deal with the tool.

This starter kit does come with two XR batteries.
The batteries do not come with cap which need to be careful when storing them in the tool bag.
