I think this is what it is made for, yes. This is what the furniture manufacturers use.

Will it go in into brick?

Asked by: Lucy
No, they would just bend and not enter that hard of a substance. You might want to visit home depot and go where they have screws and bolts, and ask that Home Depot person in charge of that area, and tell them the exact scenario of what you are trying to do, they will be able suggest the correct option.

I used the Arrow brand for 20 plus years and jamming of the staples was a daily thing, so I had to modify them because their system held their own brand of staples too tightly. The Dewalt is super light, that is what I noticed first, very, very lightweight, which makes using it, in every hand held position, a lot easier and the trigger push handle is a breeze. Another way to say it is, that you use about 70% less effort to eject the tack or staple into a material. I use a longer, heavier duty type staple and despite that, it injects the staple into the material further, easier and again, the carbon fiber device is light, very, very light. Size is perfect and easy to use. I love it. I can not wait to use it again. Comparing it to the Arrow brand, the Arrow brand was hand to push, required a lot of effort compared to the Carbon Fiber Dewalt model. And the tacks or staples, eject easier and inject faster. I am over 65, and probably have used the Arrow brand over 20 years, maybe 40, because I know we bought it as soon as it came out. So, you have the dinosaur Arrow models, or this futuristic available model to choose. Sincerely, Dan

Dropped off a ladder and did just fine. Short easy action which is nice when you are installing underlayment. My wife said “I am going to have to come up with some projects just to use this”

This is a premium product that is far lighter in weight and easier to strike than any of the competitors I looked at (other DeWalt's, Arrow and a few others on the shelf at both Home Depot and their competitor with a name beginning in L and ending E's) and others I have owned and used (3 previous Arrow's). You obviously pay a premium price. But the functionality (it works great consistently making clean, straight strikes) is worth every penny. I am discerning in the tools I buy. I can afford to buy good tools, I shop carefully and I am not wed to a specific brand or retailer. I look for the best tool in a category that I can practically afford and justify for the work I am doing. And I am not shy about criticizing DeWalt (or any other manufacturer). DeWalt sometimes makes tools that leave me scratching my head and wondering what they were thinking. But this Carbon Fiber Tacker is exceptionally good and I am very pleased with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for lightweight use and very easy to staple. ... Great for lightweight use and very easy to staple. Rubberized grip is surprisingly tacky, if you use it a lot without gloves it tends to give your hand blisters. Probably will be better after using it more but I was kinda surprised to discover this issue. We will see how durable it is.
