I no longer recommend DeWalt sense they have closed they're service centers. the Rolling Miter Saw Stand has a problem with the (pin) not allowing raising and lowering of the stand.
The literature doesn't mention the weight of the stand do to the fact you will be mounting a miter saw onto the stand. The type of miter saw will determine the ultimate weight. So if your planing on lifting this into a truck I would plan on 70 lbs.
The DWX723 is the longer version of the compact DWX724 miter saw stand. Unless you have an extremely small storage space or are transporting this stand in a small vehicle, getting the longer stand is a huge improvement. It collapses to less than 6', but the supports go out to 12'6". The short stand (length is the only difference!) is only $20 less, but it is 44" wide collapsed/ 8'4" extended.
One has a give and take for convenience of time, but one will find having a stand and a seperate miter saw and mounting it every time you use it outweights the size.
Yes, there are various slots to use for a wide range of measurements between bolt holes in the saw's base.
DCB132
The mounting brackets for the miter saw have a 3/8" slots that are a minimum of 6" apart to 15 1/2" apart to allow various saws to be used. .
No it says "Miter saw stand" not anything else, you run the risk of serious injury putting anything else on this.
More than likely you will get the early version of the batteries which I don't see what the point of that is anyway there's six and an hour batteries they're not going to work worth a crap on this dual setup I use the of the AC adapter all the time . I've used the batteries just for show for a second I own larger batteries made by China manufacturers that I pay a quarter of the price for and they last pretty good and have it put any down yet and I've only been using the battery operated tools about two years
I have a DeWalt 745. It looks like it would not quite fit front to back. However, a plywood base for the saw would work.
