No, it is not recommended to use .43 inches glue sticks.
No this isn't a high temperature glue gun. It does get hot fast but not in the range of "high temperautre"
The glue gun uses glue sticks that are .45 inches in diameter.
This tool is only a hot glue gun, it takes the same glue sticks as you would get from an arts and crafts shop. So it depends on the application. If it will be weight bearing and under stress, as a functional part of a house, I would say no. If it is for a crafts type project, I believe that this would work very well.
