AnswersThe mistake that I made originally was opening up the knife to put the blade in. That's impossible! What you're supposed to do is push the little black lever on the side of the knife and slide the blade in from the nose.

I was fooled by the description on the package. Package says "Water Resistant Blade Storage" Unfortunately this only applies to the top yellow knife. Top yellow knife is very easy and smooth to open and load blade, blade storage access flips up. While the lower gray knife has the mechanism flipped and the blade storage flips down which causes the blades to drop out. That is completely useless when working up on a scaffold or ladder. Blade is also harder to engage & lock on the lower gray knife. Re-reading the package from top to bottom and front to back, it doe snot mention any of these differences. That is the reason why I feel duped/cheated. I would returned the bottom knife in an instant if I lived close to Home Depot, it's absolutely trash.

The price was great, two great utility knives, DWHT81270GC package with (2-Pack DWHT10219/DWHT10295). The blade removal and replace works great 2 handed. The blade select pushed to the forward position, then push down the release switch and pull out the blade, replace with new blade just push a new in the front. Spare blades storage in handle.
