X548 Commercial 48 in. 26 HP Kawasaki V-Twin FT730v EFI Series Engine Stand-On Dual Hydro Gas Zero Turn Lawn Mower

I don't want a lengthy review so I will place my Pros and Cons with a quick summary of how I feel about this product. Pros - Extremely nimble, agile and quick Rugged, well built and durable Great traction Easy access for maintenance and repairs Makes fantastic lines and one of the best cut quality mowers I have ever used One of the most comfortable stand on mowers to ride Light and easy to use cut height selector Cons - Fuel Tank capacity is too small Blade/Spindle design is sub optimal I have personally used this mower for 120 Hours of work and I have allowed employees to use it for about 80 Hours of work. We had 2 Issues with the mower and both were self induced learning curves that could be avoided by either, A - Better Design, or B - Better awareness of the limitations. Issue 1 - Puncture in the fuel tank from pressure on tank strap that sliced the tank and caused a leak. DeWALT/MTD replaced the tank via mail within 3 days and wanted to know how it happed to prevent it in the future. Its our fault for using the Tank as a place to swivel the mower against a wall. Preventable but a weak spot. Issue 2 - We stripped out the spindle rod by cross threading the net for the blade. The design has a pass through rod from the belt pulley though the spindle and to the blade, there is a special key washer and nut on the bottom and a nut on top, without a blade the rod can move up and down when trying to reinstall the key, the washer, the blade and the nut so we just made a mistake, but if the rod was fixed or used a bolt system it could be better, you sometimes have to use a wrench on the top nut to hold it so you can tighten the bottom. This is a bit extra I don't love but doable. Other than that, this mower is a freaking beast! It is the quickest and most naturally nimble mower I have ever used, it has high speed reverse, big tires and really well designed operator pad makes for a comfortable ride. It has a well designed layout for operator controls, deck height lever is by far the smoothest and lightest to operate In my experience, It slides up and down with easy and confidence. The Pin for the lever is magnetic and I like that feature, holds hills well and lays down great stripes. Specific use cases to test its merit, we used this to mow several lawns at over 4 foot tall in grass and while cutting at the highest setting, 5 inches if my memory serves my correct and it really did work, better than any of our other 12 mowers would have. I uploaded a before and after of the cut to show, and it is impressive. My final thoughts are this, If you are in the market for a mower do not hesitate on this one, I think the price point is on the top end of what I think its worth, but that doesn't mean its not worth it. It has proven already to be very durable, very powerful and high quality. But be prepared to keep extra fuel on your truck if you mow a lot each day as you will need to refill. “This is a paid endorsement. We have had about two weeks of pouring rain. One night we got over 5 inches in 3 hours. I didnt realize it until after being in the rain almost a week, but I left my new gift of these bits in the storms all week, OPENED!! Other than being obviously wet and some dirt and water in the case, they still looked brand new. Before I recieved these, it was very rare I ever found a non rusty drill bit. Im gonna be more careful with my tools from now on but it sure is nice to know that if an accident does happen, they arent ruined!!
