Hello Stillstuck2. Thank you for your question. I am so sorry to hear of your predicament. Unless you can get a small engine mechanic out to trouble-shoot for you, you are on your own. Let’s start with a couple trouble shooting suggestions. I know it may be basic, but if you are on a hill and your gas tank is not full, the siphon hose in the tank may be exposed, thus, no gas to the carburetor. If you have confirmed that you have sufficient gas, (Be sure it is fresh High Octane), check your spark plug. Is the connection tight and secure? Do you have fuel flow from the gas tank to the carburetor? No fuel flow, no start! Next, check to see that you have a spark at the plug. Either pull the connection of the plug and check for a spark when you turn it over or pull the plug and see of you have a spark that jumps across the plug. If your spark goes to the plug, i.e. it jumps from the spark plug connection to the plug, you have power to the plug. If the spark does not jump across the gap of the plug, your issue may be the plug or your magneto. I keep a bottle of engine “Quick Start” or “Starting Fluid” on hand just in case of a hard start situation. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Gumout-11-oz-Starting-Fluid-5072866/204802514?MERCH=REC-_-searchViewed-_-NA-_-204802514-_-N Given all the above are positive, take off our air cleaner, spray the “Quick Start” into the carburetor and on the air filter side that face the carburetor. See if it will turn over. You may be in luck and it starts!! If this does not work, you will need to get it on a trailer and get to a repair shop. Depending where your mower is, you may have to balance the cost of towing to the cost of a service person coming out to fix your unit. Wish I could be of more assistance. Let me know what happens.
