Built like a tank
I use this mower for residential use but it has a commercial engine and drives. The deck is solid and it put out a great cut.

So far so good!
So far so good. The specs/price ratio on this mower are better than anything else I could find. The risk was whether or not it would hold up or perform well. I am not a 20 year commercial mower keep in mind, but ive been doing commercial/residential on and off since I was a little kid. The warranty included was better than anything else I could get so I thought it would be worth a shot. In general im glad i took it. Also note that i am under 100 hours still. I will try to update this product then. I’ve really pushed this mower hard to see if there are any immediate issues. It eats anything I give to it. I did break a belt in under 2 hours but I noticed a little stick had gotten jammed. For me that was annoying but it could have been a fluke. My only REAL complaints about this is that there is: 1. no suspension seat available. Dewalt, you H-A-V-E to figure this out and make this available. I have a rough terrain and it is horribly uncomfortable to spend 3 hours on the mower without suspension. 2. The lawn striping kit. I paid the extra for the striping kit and cannot get it to lay down good stripes. Ive adjusted it to its lowest setting, tried striping on tall grass, short grass, etc and just am not getting good stripes. It could be user error, but im pretty sure ive tried everything and I know I have a conducive yard for striping. Overall, im happy with the purchase.

belts hard to find
good mower....built tough..... but good luck finding a deck belt.....Home depot dont carry parts for this mower so be ready to order everything online......belts ....blades.....ect ......

The gas gauge didn’t work right, I filled the tank...
The gas gauge didn’t work right, I filled the tank to full and the gauge reads half a tank??? Then I attempted to get it replaced at a Dewalt authorized dealer under the warranty, the dealer said I would have to pay him $70.00 to him to get the warranty work done because I didn’t buy it from him. Dewalt got him to drop the charge to $37.50. Jacobi’s refused to work on it period. Another MTD / Cub Cadet dealer in Salem, Indiana also refused. I’m buying a complete commercial breather kit for $400.00 to hopefully get some good will from the dealer that will work on it, if I need warranty work done in the future????? It should have come with a commercial breather in the first place?????

Bought this as it was the only zero turn that...
Bought this as it was the only zero turn that claims to be able to handle hills. It does. I don't use on sharp inclines but handles rolling hills no problem.

Rocky Start
The delivery company had difficulty uploading the mower because they couldn't get their lift under the pallet. The delivery driver was rude and incompetent- not the fault of HD.
Once unloaded and unpacked, the mower wouldnt start due to a dead battery. I put a trickle charge on it overnight and it started up the next day and ever since no problem.
While using it the first time the deck lift rod and knob fell off due to vibration i suppose. I looked all over my 2 acres for them without success. I called DeWalt support and they shipped out a new assembly free of charge, and it arrived a week later. A little Loktite on the threads should prevent that from happening again.
With all that said, the mower seems well built and runs like a champ. I had areas of 8"+ grass and it knocked it out without any strain. I am a big guy and there is plenty of seat and leg room.
We got off to a rocky start but I am hopeful that is all over and this machine lasts for years to come.

Great Quality and Easy Performer
In comparison to other comparable high-end brands, this machine is built with superior construction. Heavier gauge steel and reinforced deck front edge are two of the features that stand out. The Kawasaki engine and drive perform very well. I look forward to seeing accessories made for this machine. It handles our five acre lawn with ease…
