Diablo's next generation 10 in. x 84 Tooth Non-Ferrous Carbide Circular Saw Blade features new laser-cut stabilizer vents for precise and clean cuts in laminates and non-ferrous materials. The advanced stabilizer vents feature a permanent filler baked in from top to bottom for absorbing noise and preventing sideways movement, allowing the blade to slice through laminates and non-ferrous metals cleanly, quickly and accurately. Constructed with TiCo Hi-Density special-blend carbide, Diablo's 10 in. non-ferrous blade produces precise cuts and provides 5X longer cutting life. The laser cut heat expansion slots allow the blade to expand and contract during use, keeping the cut true and straight. Questions & Answers

can i install this on the rigid 12 inch miter saw?

Asked by: Wes
Don't do it. A 12" miter saw is set up to use a 12" blade, period, end of story. a 2" smaller blade will run on the saw, but it won't cut all the way through whatever you have up against the fence (standard miter saw... it *might*work on a sliding saw, dep. on the saw...) But in either case the guard won't operate correctly, so it's a safety issue. Diablo makes this same blade to fit your saw - use that one. That said - under-sizing blades on a table saw (using a 7.25" blade on a 10" saw) is done all the time and has quite a few advantages if you don't need to cut thick material. But a miter saw ain't a table saw. So don't do it LOL.

Will this handle cutting 1/4" thick aluminum, such as that used in an aluminum track ("U" shaped profile track constructed of 1/4" aluminum)? Primarily looking for official word from manufacturer, but happy to hear user experiences, too.
Asked by: MetalHead
Yes, I've used it for cutting complex aluminum extrusions made from 1/4" material

Can I cut thin steel tubing with this blade ?( 24 pieces only)

Wanted to cut down a closet door shoe rack, which is too wide. Cross pieces are thin wall steel tubing, which would be impractical to cut with a tubing cutter. What do you think ?
