These sanding sponges are great to have laying around nearby when doing some wood working. They are perfect for either final prep before painting or if you find a rough edge that you want to quickly and effortlessly smooth down. The package includes two sanding sponges that have 100 grit surfaces on both sides of each sponge. They are nice and soft so they will easily sand around any shape.

This flex sanding from Diablo is really nice. It's super flexible and sands around corners and edges great and seems to be very durable. But for me personally it feels too flimsy and small for my hands. That being said I would still recommend this product especially for small intricate sanding as for fine detail work. Thank you Diablo for another fine product.

PROS The sanding sponges provide a large surface area for removal of stock and surface preparation. The sponge is flexible enough to use on curved surfaces and interior corners to ensure complete stock removal from the surface. The available grits allow removal and finishing of the surface prior to re-coating with paint or other surface protection. CONS None

I installed three sheets of drywall and plastered the seams and screw holes. I used the Diablo Flex Sponge to smooth the seams. I used an 80 Grit sandpaper on the few thicker areas before using the Diablo Flex Sponge. I ran my hand over the wall surface to feel for irregular surfaces. Several coats of plaster and several sandings made for a paintable wall. I applied two coats of primer and the first top coat. The great thing about the sanding sponge is that I'm able to wash it, let it dry and use it for the next project.

The amount of different sanding materials available on the market today is astonishing, ranging from basic sander paper to sanding blocks, to these sponges. These are very handy for sanding non flat surfaces, such as rounded edges, dowels, curved surfaces and inside holes if they fit. Anything Diablo usually means high quality and durability, so far in my short time using these I have yet to wear one out, and it leaves a nice finish for its grit level.

Right out of the package these 2 sponges weigh very little. So light, you almost want to scrub some dishes with it. I the size is 4.75 x 3.75 and 1/2 inch thick. Just alittle bigger that an a kitchen sponge. The 100-grit is perfect for light sanding. I have a new front door and quickly tested in on the nail holes that still need alittle sanding before the paint. Worked perfectly. I also squeezed in my hand multiple times and it retained it's shape. Having 2 to a package is a plus.

I'm 74 years old and this is the FIRST time sanding has ever been easy! Every year, I sand and oil my teak wood patio table, and I always hate that job. This year, I thought I'd try the Diablo Sandnet Sheets and the Diablo Sanding Sponge. Since I don't have a hand sander or an orbital sander, I just wrapped the Sandnet Sheets around the Sanding Sponge, sanded the whole surface REALLY fast, then used the Sanding Sponge alone to give it a final go-over. This entire process, including moving items on the table oiling the wood, and taking photos, took about half an hour! Tomorrow, I'll do the chairs and table legs, and I actually don't dread that! Two thumbs up for the Diablo sanding products!

The Diablo Ultraflex Sanding Sponge 100 grit works perfectly as intended and expected. I like the flexibility and durability. Flexibility is very important on sanding corners and edges as not to remove too much material as apposed to a more ridged product. I really like that it can be used on both sides of the sponges and will last long. I will have to try the more abrasive ones on my next project which will be soon.
