Interesting… these are the only type I use with my DEWALT cordless palm sander and I have never had an issue. It could be the hook and lock system on your sander has failed in a way that does not allow the pads to stay tight to the sander. I would examine your tool base to see how far it has deteriorated. I know the DEWALT model has replacement parts available
It will stick fairly tenaciously to a sander made for it. I can use it until it wears out and it still stays on.
Thank you for your question! If you are going to use sandpaper, I would recommend starting with a medium grit like 100-120 so that you do not create a scratch mark in the metal material. If you have any further questions, please call 800-334-4107 or email email@example.com. We're here to help!
Hi Ken, Yes the Dewalt 6420 is a hook and loop sander and it will work with these discs. To attach, take the disc, align the holes on the disc with the holes on the sander and press it onto the sander. Go to the tool rental area. They should have those in stock
Hi Frank, These discs will work with any 5" ROS sander.
No. Im using them on a dewalt orbital sander that has the hook on it. They are just the basic pads.
Fabric. It works like velcro. It doesn't work very long if you are applying pressure to the sander, but these do the job.
60 or 80 grit is recommended
Hi Hutch, These ROS sanding discs use Hook and Lock backing to attach to the sander.
