A:  You have to be aware whether your polisher's head is adhesive or hook and loop. Hook and loop means your your polisher head has one side like the hook part and the pad has the other part, the loop part. Together they form the hook and loop which is similar to velcro.

A:  It's basically the same system as Velcro, I use the sticky back discs as well.

A:  The tool must also be a hook and loop system. If so, then the disk works like Velcro. The disks do not have adhesive, so there is no residue. They will not work if the tool has an adhesive style pad.

A:  We do not see an issue using the 6" polisher with a 6" sanding disc. However, it is not its intended purpose. We would like to point out a few things though. 1. The 6" polisher does not have a Hook and Loop base. This means that one will have to added. This could take away from the holding power of the sanding disc base. 2. Because the base does not allow for dust collection, the dust build up could lead to premature overheating of the disc and shorten life. 3. The polisher has a max RPM of approximately 4800 RPM's. A 6" ROS sander will have an approximate RPM of 10,000. Because the polisher rotates at a reduced RPM this could lead to excess build up of dust and glazing of the sanding disc, thus shortening the life of the sanding disc.
