Yes. But coat the cut end to prevent rust. Cut straight only.

Will this cut 1/4” aluminum plate?

Yes. But i wouldn't spend the money on this blade to cut aluminum. Just about any blade out there will cut any non-commercial thickness of aluminum.

Hi Desperado! This blade will have no problem cutting the wood. However, for the best finish quality, you'll want to go with a dedicated wood blade. If you have any further questions, please call 800-334-4107 or email customerservice@diablotools.com. We're here to help!

Will this blade work to make a 22" long cut in 1/4" 304 plate stainless?

Asked by WillieJo April 10, 2021
1
Answer

Stainless steel is a ferrous metal so the blade should work well on it. I would suggest ease into the cut with good lubrication to avoid overheating the blade or discoloring the stainless steel plate. Hope this helps...

what is the kerf on this blade? I haven't bought one yet.

Hi Jojo! This blade's kerf is 1.5mm (.059”). Thanks for the terrific question!

Will this blade cut 2” galvanized steel pipe? (3/8 inch walls) or should i get something else?

Asked by Valueguy April 1, 2021
3
Answers

Hi Valueguy! 3/8” wall is very challenging for round tube, especially with a non-dedicated metal cutting tool. We would recommend using a dedicated metal cutting tool, rather than a typical 7-1/4” circular saw, for anything with a wall thickness of over ¼”. If you have any further questions, please call 800-334-4107 or email customerservice@diablotools.com. We're here to help!

Don’t use on bamboo engineered flooring
Took it back after three test cuts using a brand new DeWalt miter saw. Even when going slow on bamboo engineered flooring it rips and jars the fibers from the board. Yes I waited until the motor was at nominal speed. For $99 bucks I expect a clean cut

I used this blade to cut 3/8 inch mild steel with my circular saw. I was very impressed with the way it cut through steel as easily as if it were wood. Very true cuts with very little in the way of ragged edges left behind. I highly recommend the Diablo for cutting mild steel.

Success Under Harsh Conditions
I bought this blade as an experiment. I need to section up a piece of 2” thick mild steel and figured I would give this a shot to see how far it gets. Using it in a 2.5HP Skil saw I was able to get 3” or 4” into the cut before it started losing traction. Considering it is billed as a blade for 1/4” thick steel I’d say it was a good success. Once the blade cools down I’ll give it another go.

Used for Pergo on Craftsman 19.2 battery powered circular saw. Worked very smooth and fast. Best option out there for this application.

Love this blade - Use it for my circular saw and Miter saw.
I always used to buy cheap blades and throw them away but after using one of these i will never go back to the cheap blades, I'll just wait until these go on sale here and there. I have the Kobalt 7-1/4 sliding miter saw and i used this blade on it... using the stock blade it was OK and cut fine but with this blade it cuts sooooo smooth it's ridiculous.

Not Impressed
Used to cut steel roofing. This photo is after cutting 3 sheets to length. After 3 - 36" cuts in 26 gauge steel, the blade was missing teeth.
