Personally that Diablo blade is use more for wood. Diablo D0704DH is the blade that you need for cutting Hardieboard. Brian
The motor on a circular saw spins counter-clockwise. Likewise, the blade spins counter clockwise. The lettering should be on the exterior (show) side.
Use a pair of scissors or a sharp utility knife - cut along just inside the package edges.

The measured kerf of the teeth on mine is just slightly under1/6", 0.0600 on average. The actual cut kerf on mine is about 0.0640", just barely over 1/16".
