Q:What is the minimum flow rate required for this gizmo to regulate to 25 PSI? What happens when flow rate is slightly less?
by|Sep 8, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  The D46 pressure regulator requires a minimum of .1 GPM or 6 gallons per hour to reduce pressure down to 25 psi. If the flow rate is less than the minimum the pressure regulator will have a hard time reducing the pressure reliably. Q:Any reason why the pressure regulator would not work when directly connect to the hose bib? If I connect a hose then the regulator, water flows. If I attach the regulator directly to the hose bib no water flows.

    Answer This Question

A:  It should work directly installed on your outdoor faucet unless your hose bib has an integrated backflow preventor that may be causing it to close. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our technical service/product support team at 1-800-322-9146 or tech@digcorp.com.

Q:Can this be used to supply a portable evaporative cooler? The specs on the Evaporative Cooler show a Maximum Pressure of 29 PSI

      Answer This Question

A:  Unfortunately, our pressure regulators will not work for Evaporative coolers they are designed for irrigation use only. You will need to use a pressure regulating valve for your evaporative cooler. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact our technical service/product support team at 1-800-322-9146 or tech@digcorp.com.

A:  Not the intended use but might work. Maybe better to put an adjustable water pressure valve.

Q:what parts do I need to attach this pressure regulator to 1/2" drip tubing?
          by|May 30, 2023
          1 Answer
          Answer This Question

A:  The D46 hose thread pressure regulator will thread onto an outdoor faucet then you will need our C34 swivel compression adaptor to connect your ½” drip tubing. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our technical service/product support team at 1-800-322-9146 or via email at tech@digcorp.com.

We added a washer to our shop and the water pressure from the well was too high for the washer to handle so we bought this pressure regulator. It worked perfectly and was super easy to install.

                Leaks through vent hole
Same as others. Leaks through vent hole after a while. Lucky I discovered it as it was close to my foundation and could have made a wet basement.

Not sure what’s up with this one but it cracked and is leaking with days of installation. Did not crack at threads as if it was over tightened, cracked in the area on the picture where you see the arrow. Will try one from another home improvement store this time,
