Yes, these tile would work for that. You will want to make sure that the wall is in good condition and clean or the adhesive might not hold well. A good calking like Dap 2.3 or Phenoseal will help seal the bottom edge and the corners. Good luck with your project.

It really depends on the degree of texture. Clean a spot and place your first tile and follow the instructions. Give it 24 hours then apply even pressure on the tile again, then wait 24 more hours and check it for adhesion again. You’ll likely be all set! If you have a problem, you can then prep the wall by sanding and sealing it, but you’ll likely be ok. Good luck with your project! Thanks Scott The Dip Team

Is there a complimentary bullnose trim to use with this product to finish the edge ?

Asked by MGreen April 12, 2021
1
Answer

We don’t but you can use any standard trim, outside corner pieces or bull nose and you paint the trim the same color as the adjacent wall. Some customers have used raw framing material from a frame shop for a more adventurous look. Good luck with your Project! Thanks Scott The Dip Team

Can product be installed over a granite backsplash? Does the granite need to be prepped?

Yes, the adhesive should stick well. Be sure the stone is clean. Use a good degrease and then wipe with denatured alcohol to remove any residue from cleaning. These will brighten up your space.

Are these ideal to use in your kitchen behind your stove? Will they also stick to sheetrock?

I've placed it behind my stove and it's held up fine. Its extremely sticky and once its on there nearly impossible to remove with out breaking the tile. So I'd imagine it will adhere fine to sheetrock

How do you prep the wall before applying backsplash? My walls have wallpaper on it. Should i remove it and paint and if so what type of paint?

It's extremely sticky. You are probably fine to put over the wall paper as long and the wall paper is on there well. Otherwise normal wall paint or clean surfaces

Great peel and stick tile
I realized (the hard way) that it’s vital to place 1 row of tile at a time. The job went much smoother once I placed bottom row tiles along the countertop and then moved up to the next row. I had to chisel a few off and replace. The adhesive is very sticky so be careful when placing each one. The final result is very nice. We placed some trim after this photo was taken, along the gap between the cabinets and the top row of tiles. A very sharp blade utility knife is necessary to cut outlet holes. We are happy with the results!

Love the final look!
Pros: great design and color, lightweight, easy to manipulate (follow recommendation with soapy water for easier manipulation), interlocking. Cons: hard to cut clean with even the recommended tools, the mosiac tile may come off the spongy adhesive backing if cut into too small of pieces.

I'm still in the process of finishing the backsplash in my kitchen, but so far I love these subway tiles. They look great and are pretty easy to adhere. The most difficult part has been cutting them to fit around the outlets and sockets. But I'm sure that's true for cutting all tiles.

Beautiful backsplash. Easy to install. Be sure to use a spray bottle with water and a few drops of dish soap in it to lightly spray the wall before installing them. That way you can position them in place or move them around as needed. If you skip this step then once they're stuck theres no unsticking them without ruining them. Highly recommend this product!
