No you have to purchase separately. I've used the screws below purchased from Home Depot #10 x 5 in. Ultra Guard Square Drive Flat-Head Coarse Thread with Nibs Double Auger Wood Deck Screws (100 per Box) #8 2-1/2 in. Phillips Bugle-Head Coarse Thread Gold Screws (1 lb.-Pack)

How are the panels shipped? I live in a condo complex and not sure if a big 18 wheeler could fit so not sure how these arrive.

Asked by: SteveG
The panels were shipped to my home in a large tractor trailer stacked on skids. I ordered over 50 panels and I was asked to have help available to help take them off the truck.

How can I account for drainage pipes that come directly out of the wall ? Can sections of this wall be cut out to accommodate these type of obstructions ?
Asked by: Nancy
We ended up creating a box to fit around our water pipe/meter and then building the Smartwall up to it.

SMARTWALL 4 in. x 2 ft. x 8 ft. All-in-One Wall Panel is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 15.

While it could have been a decent option for a DIYer, it offers zero money savings - which is the ONLY reason for going the DIY route. The extremely high cost of this product entirely offsets any potential savings of not hiring a professional. If you want a truly DIY way of finishing your basement, look up a video called "How to Insulate a Basement" by This Old House on Youtube. They use foam board insulation and a few 1x3 pieces of wood - Easy AND cost effective!

We did 46' of walls in 2 days. The video is helpful but it glosses over some details. You need to install blocking at the ceiling where your wall is parallel to the joists to attach the 2x2. If you are not using smart floor cut a 1/2" of the bottom to keep the drywall of your cement floor and absorbing moisture. Trim will cover this gap. To go around windows and ducts you will need to attach 2x2s directly to the wall and attach1/2" thick wood to stay plum. I emailed Dricore to find the 5" screws and they sent me this link for 5-5/8" screws that are stocked at home depot. https://www.homedepot.com/p/GRK-Fasteners-12-x-5-5-8-in-R4-Multi-Purpose-Screw-50-per-Pack-96089/204837660 We used a sawzall to cut through the wood on the wall and a handsaw for the foam. If you have to cut a tongue off a section to join flush at a corner, the sawzall made this much easier then by hand for a 8'. We had 2 panels arrive damaged and were instructed to return to a store. Home Depot was great through the process of buying, arranging shipment and return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Install I went with the DRIcore Smartwall to refinish my basement. It was between Smartwall and Wahoo Walls. I liked that the Wahoo Walls used MgO instead of drywall, but I went with the Smartwall for one reason - the size - 2 foot wide panels can fit down into my basement and 4 foot wide Wahoo panels would not fit without cutting. Installation was fairly easy. I installed 50 linear feet of walls in 2.5 days time! Cutting the walls was easy with a hand saw. The instructions say 2 people are required, but I did it by myself. It would have been quicker / easier with someone else to help, but is can be done by one person with moderate skill level. I gave the quality a good rating because some of the panels had some very dark black smudges from shipping. The panels come primed, but I will prime the walls because of this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent The panels are of great quality and easy to assemble. I put up a 12 foot section in under 2 hours. Most of that time was confirming the upper and lower boards were correctly placed to provide a level wall. They provide an excellent vapor block and I see no way for moisture to penetrate, even where two panels connect. I did purchase some panels with electrical boxes and I was equally pleased with the panel quality. I did all the work myself without any need for a second person. I recommend using a jigsaw to do the initial cut of the wall and then follow through with a handsaw to finish cutting the foam insulation. Some panels have some smudges as a result of shipping but no physical damage. All marks disappear with primer. The pallet was dropped off on my driveway. If you aren't up for the physical challenged, you may want to have help moving the panels to their staging location. The hardware is expensive as 5 inch screws are not a commodity. They are available at home depot. I used: For the Top: SPAX 1/4 in. x 5 in. Powerlag T-Star Drive Washer Head Yellow Zinc Coated Lag Screw For the bottom: SPAX #8 x 2-1/2 in. T-Star Drive Flat-Head Partial Thread Yellow Zinc Coated Multi-Material Screw (133 per Box)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dissapointed Four of the 13 panels we ordered were damaged defeating the purpose of not having to spackle. And of course it was all of the bottom of the panels that were damaged as it is only the top of the panel that can be cut. No time to return product as job needed to be completed on time. Also, the online video and directions for Dricore Smartwall does not indicate that you need to order their Dricore Smartwall screw kit. Take note of this as there is also no indication when ordering the panels through Home Depot that this screw kit is needed. The reason being is that it is impossible to find 5 inch drywall screws anywhere. I had to use an alternative 5 inch screw I purchased at another big box store because HD did not have any 5 inch screws in stock in the store. Again, no time to wait for the 5-9 day delivery estimate of the screw kit. Will now have to use molding to cover top screws as they are not flush with wall. The panels themselves are of good quality and installation is much easier than standard wall construction. If shipping was improved and information about having to order the screw kit was prominently displayed I would have given this product a much higher rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dricore SmartWall was a very good choice, even when calculating versus a framed-wall and standard... Dricore SmartWall was a very good choice, even when calculating versus a framed-wall and standard drywall with an equivalent barrier and insulation R value, it looks like Smartwall is only going to be a small amount more expensive in terms of materials. When it comes to labor and time nothing beats this type of construction. I chose to install 2x4" pressure-treated lumber on floor, at halfway point of wall and near the top and used both the ramset and tapcon screws in all 2x4 studs. I chose to forgo the upper 2x2 furring strips and have plenty of anchoring strength using a 2x4 mounted high on the concrete wall. The wallboard is cut easily with a new handsaw. I cut in most of the outlets by hand as well. Overall a very good solution, I can frame and mount wall in probably 6 sections/hour.
