Can this be used on drywall?

Asked by: georgia
DRYLOK is designed to waterproof Masonry surfaces above grade, below grade on interior and exterior applications. We have many people use it for decorative projects like foam for aquarium "rocks", Halloween decorations, etc. If you are looking to waterproof drywall, this is not going to work as water will destroy the drywall first.

Can this be use over paint

Asked by: None
For this to properly work it needs to be directly on clean dry masonry. It will go over a previous layer of drylok. It does not make a shell so if the paint you want to cover flakes then this flakes. If you want a shell use a 2 stage epoxy paint. It’s easier to scrape the old paint off though.
