Instead of square feet- I need 56 8x8 tiles. How many tiles are in a case, and cost per case?

25 in a case. It says in the FAQ. You'd need 3 boxes. Expect some to be damaged, as was my experience.

Excellent to use as baking stone. Much cheaper than a regular stone, more flexible (since it is individual tiles), can be used in gas BBQ and it is a better heat sink than a baking stone in my experience. If a few come broken, so what? Can still be positioned in oven/bbq. I can't see any broken in my box.

Yes. We're going to tile our laundry room and wanted it to match with the tile in the kitchen. The new tile is a little darker, but it's a pretty good match since the kitchen tile was originally installed in 1969.

I have not yet actually installed this product, and that's why I cannot recommend it. I bought two boxes of this tile over a month ago. This style is not available at my local store, so it needs to be shipped to my store. When those two boxes arrived, I received an email telling me that they arrived damaged. I went to the store, and with a store employee, examined all 50 tiles (25 per box), and found 30 of them to be undamaged. Home Depot immediately ordered me another box. When that one arrived, I got the same email. When I arrived at the store, the same employee had already examined the tiles, and found ten out of 25 to be undamaged. Home Depot ordered another box - that order is processing. We will continue this exercise until I get 50 good tiles. Home Depot has already said that they will provide a discount after I receive all 50 tiles. The damage varied from tiles completely broken in half, to corners being broken off, to major chips (larger than 1" x 1") off of the finished surface. I gave this product three stars, because I like the tile, but I don't like picking it up at the store in three or more trips. The store employees have been great. They first reported the damage, and helped me sort through good and bad tiles. The problem is the hassle of doing all of this. Finally, the photo is deceiving. The photo shows nine tiles with red grout between them. I added a photo of a single tile to this review.

I ordered these tiles online to use inside a masonry cook stove (not in the firebox) so I was not particular about the appearance of the tiles. It took much longer than anticipated for the tiles to arrive so I was behind schedule. Three-quarters of the tiles arrived broken or significantly chipped. I only needed three-eighths of the tiles for my project so I used the undamaged tiles and some of the least chipped tiles. The next day I took the rest of the damaged tiles to the local Home Depot store. I was told that since HomeDepot.com only sells them in case lots they could only be returned in case lots. The woman in the store was sympathetic and said she would help with some discounts on in-store purchases to make me right. Subsequently I called Customer Service at HomeDepot.com on a different matter and brought up the issue of the tiles. The woman said she could authorize a 50% refund on the case of tiles; I took the 50% refund and thanked the woman in the store for her offer. The process was a bit of a pain in the neck, but on the whole, I felt that Home Depot did its best to help me with the problem, however, I will never buy Daltile tiles again.

Use tiles in my oven to make homemade pizza!
PREP for oven use: When I first got these quarry stones, I soaked 9 tiles in water over night in a clean bucket. I then wiped off excess water, put in oven then turn on and set to 200 degrees for 15 minutes, turned off oven and let them stay in there for about 1 hour or until cool and dry. I then coated each with very THIN layer of Canola oil with soft cloth. Take another clean cloth to ensure you have removed excess oil...placed in oven, turned on and set to 425 degrees for 1 hour...turn oven off and let them stay in oven for about 2 hours or until cool. Then they are seasoned and ready to use! I leave mine in the oven at all times near bottom rack and when making bread or pizza, I move the tiled rack to 2nd to top rack. Easy and works excellent. I even have plenty left in case one breaks. My pizza has never tasted so good! I highly recommend.
