Q:Hi, I need to remove my hallway base boards with out damaging them or the walls. Should I use one of these crow bars or something else? Also pulling up carpet in upstairs hallway. Are pliers enough for that?

A: These bars will work you just have to be carful. Pliers should work on the carpet.

A: You'll need more than pliers to pull up carpet IF you want to take up the tack strips and staples holding down the padding. Vice grips, a large pry bar, a rubber mallet comes in handy, a screw driver for prying up staples, box knife to cut carpet.

A: Yes, these are perfect for removing baseboards. I've never removed carpeting, so I can't help you there.

A: I've removed alot of trim with this set, it's great for that. Alot of other factors go into wall damage, but these pry bars will get you on the right track.

A: I expect that a rigid full size crowbar would work better on "tacks" driven into concrete which might really be stainless or monel steel nails - these are light prybars without the leverage you may need.

A: no, these are great for removing trim, there is a pair of plyers/cutters with rounded head, so you can pull tacks nails and etc. sorry I don't no there name. they look like tile nippers, but have a full head

A: The 90 degree on the small pry bars would work good. If I had a decent bear claw (nail remover) I'd try that first, but, probably too thick. These have been sturdy pieces. (I have had a couple of Stanleys wonder bars.)

A: The 8 inch bear claw nail puller would probably be a better tool as it's designed more for pulling nails and tacks. The 3 pc. bar set is more for trim work

Incredible value, very durable!

I've removed almost all the trim in my house and about half the cedar siding on the exterior of my house with this set. I would buy another set in a heartbeat. Also a good USA made product.

HORRIBLE LOCKER PICK UP SYSTEM

Your system leaves a lit ti be desired. I spent 30 minutes at your customer service and pick up lickers and left. Please credit my account, I’ll purchase it elsewhere. Home Depot just lost a customer, of course you don’t care as there are plenty if other Pro’s whi could care less about their time.
