its about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick between ground and top boards
GG..leveled and what else would I need to make it work on grass? how do you attach the tiles to the surface (grass)..and what do you define as expensive?
Yes they can. However, note that multiple decks are aligned together using tile connectors (Model # TILE-CONN-BR-1) and those connecting angles and grooves may no longer fit if the tile is sawed improperly. Also, be sure to apply Ipe oil treatment after sawing it to keep the wood protected from harsh elements.
I wouldn’t take the chance. They are really only 1 x2’s. I used them for a floor in my outdoor shower. 50/50 they would withstand the weight of a spa.
The idiot that says these will only last for 2 years is clueless. Most Ipe has a 30-50 yr warranty against rot, mold, etc..you simply cannot damage Ipe even with constant moisture. You can even submerge ipe in water for years and nothing will happen to it
probobly, but it is wood and will rot eventually , it is also an inch or so high...
This specific deck tile is not recommended to be glued to the concrete porch.
