A:  I'm not sure but it could be the size tip you need to drive them in. The ones I just got used a three because the two would slip. Hope that helps.

A:  The main difference between the Deckmate II and III is the thread design. The new and improved patented Low Torque Thread design drives faster and handles 40% more screws per battery charge. The cut threads have also been extended through the entire shank vs halfway that is on the Deckmate II.

The poor review is due to the fact that ALL of the screws were 2 1/2 inches. I purchased the screws to repair my deck and the closest Home Depot is an hour away from my home where the 3-inch screws were to be used to repair my deck. The poor report is not for Home Depot, rather the POOR QUALITY CONTROL from their supplier "Deck Mate". Should I purchase any "Deck Mate" product again, I will be verifying the product before leaving the store.

            Too many screws broke when almost all the way into 5/4” decking boards. It was a pain trying to pry them out of the decking and replacing with another screw. Quite disappointing! I’ll think twice about using these again

                Screws worked well but a handful of them were unusable due to paint filled heads and some had no threads cut into them. Overall ok.
