Questions & Answers

How do I install this

Asked by John September 20, 2020

My contractor installed it and didn’t take long at all

Can you shorten hanging height for low ceiling??

Asked by Bugsbunnysr December 26, 2018

Can you see the bulbs directly from below? Are they bare?

Asked by Mar December 1, 2018

You can see it if you are directly under...but they are sideways so it looks nice!

Very Sparkly, Very Nice Light
This light looks great and puts a good amount of light on the table / surface below it. I'm ranking it 4 stars because it is a bit hard to install. For one thing, the directions show two wires + ground but there are three and the wire nuts provided didn't handle the two white wires connecting to one 12-gauge. The directions are fundamentally useless so here are the directions that should have been included. 1. Determine hanging height. The measure you want is ceiling to the bottom of the light. 2. Carefully untangle the cables and electrical wire, Patience! Take your time. 3. Have your gorgeous assistant hold the light's chrome ceiling cover and shorten the cables by pressing in on their button. When a tape measure from bottom of the light to top of the chrome ceiling cover shows all the cables are the right length, you are done. 4. Coil the extra cable and the coil will hide inside the chrome ceiling cover. No need to cut the wire cables. 5. Shorten the electric wire if necessary. It is held in place by a plastic nut you can barely see, hidden in the chrome cylinder attached to the chrome ceiling cover. The electric wire tracks up one wire cable and is held by three plastic O-rings. Center them for now on the cable. You will spread them out later. 6. Turn off the power to the light. Remove the old fixture. A cold one comes right about here. Install the inner ceiling plate. The wires from the ceiling pass through it. Try to get it squared up as well as possible. 7. Use one ladder to work from. Use a second ladder to hold the light and your gorgeous assistant who keeps the light in place. Avoid touching the sides as the crystals are delicate. Hands go on the armature, not on the sides touching the crystals. The light should be close to the ceiling to leave you slack in the electric wire. We taped a cardboard box on the ladder's shelf to add height. 8. Make the electrical connection: two whites to the white; black (a tiny black thread distinguishes it) to black; copper ground to green screw AND to the ground wire inside the chrome ceiling cover. Push all wires and wire nuts into the ceiling cavity. They should NOT interfere with the ceiling cover. 9. Screw in the four screws holding the chrome ceiling cover to the metal ceiling plate. Leave them a bit loose. Be sure all cable is tucked into the chrome ceiling cover. 10. Lower the light check for sagging cables. Small adjustments in or out at the ceiling are easy now. Spread the cable retainers along the electric wire until things look 'right'. Hope it's square to the wall because you'll have to take it down and adjust the plate if it's not. 11. Check for level with a spirit level. Adjust as needed. Tighten the four screws in the side of the chrome ceiling cover. 12. Turn on the power. Sparking and smoke are bad signs at this point. If there are none of these, install A23 bulbs. Turn on the switch. Sparks? Smoke? No problems? Put the ladders and tools away. Enjoy.

The picture online does this beautiful chandelier no justice. It looked ok in picture, but I already have a similar product so I had a feeling this one would be nice as well. And I was definitely right., What a beautiful, well built good quality chandelier. I was a little leary about the crystals dangling, but they too look great!!!! It wasn't the easiest of lights to install with all the adjusting to the cord and hanger length(s), but once I figured it out, not so hard. I would recommend hiring an electrician or a trusty handyman to install this fixture if you are not that confident in your home improvement skills. I tried both soft white and daylight LED bulbs in this fixture. Normally I prefer daylight bulbs but the soft white bulbs look so much better in this light. The crystals, for not being real, refract the light extremely well and don't look fake (at least I think they are fake). The price is nice for such a good quality product. A little difficult to wipe down of finger prints as there are a lot of small knocks and crannies but so worth it! made my dining room look great! The power cord and hanger lines adjust to 6' (ft), i only needed 2', so instead of cutting wires, I tucked them inside base. There is plenty of room if you are unsure of cutting the wires or not. Definitely go out an purchase one of these, great price, unbelievably beautiful chandelier.
