Lights Won't Turn Off

AnswersIf you are using this timer with LED lights it will appear as though the lights are still on. This happened to me with some of our Christmas lights, the LED lights on our Christmas tree appeared to be on. FO\or some reason when using a timer this happens. I think it's because there is still power to the timer so as to keep it functioning.

AnswerI have had no problems with mine and I have had it for years. have you tried other time intervals. If it does not work on those or dawn to dusk, maybe it it broken.

AnswersProbably more accurate to say water resistant - I wouldn't submerge it in water. Mine is used outside and rain/snow have not been an issue.
It says not to plug extension cords into it, why not and what good is it then for “ outdoor applications”?

AnswersI think they mean to plug it directly into the wall but not to plug it in to an extension cord. After you plug it in to the wall, then you can plug extension cords into it. That is how I have it plugged in.

AnswersI suspect that the sensor is sensing low light from dusk, then the lights it is turning on is confusing the sensor until it gets darker. Make sure the lights it is turning on is not shining directly into the sensor. Maybe, put a chair in front of the socket where it is plugged in.

This are easy to use. I bought 4 to power our 30,000+ Christmas lights they worked great. Just set and really forget about turning things off. I did have to return 1 as it didn't work correctly but the replacement one worked like it should. You have several options to choose 2,4,6,8 dust to dawn and on with a manual off. I would recommend these for any outside lights you want you want to come on at dusk and off at a certain time.

Did not last a 2nd Christmas season
Only used for Christmas decorations...did not last a second season. Maybe lasted a total of 7 weeks of use. POOR QUALITY.

Stopped working in less than a year
I bought two of these for my mother in law less than a year ago and one of them stopped working correctly. It would turn on after dusk and even though the timer was set to turn off in four hours, it would stay on all night. Disappointed.
