With my electrician due, this light was bought quickly and mainly on price. The lights only go up & down, not side to side but I think that’s an advantage. The replaced light had had a little too much adjusting and now the motion detector part dangled and the two lights were stuck in position. The motion detector on the Defiant is fixed. When dark I checked the lighting and it lit up the area adequately. I was pleased that the light given was not a glaring bright white but slightly softer. You never want to wake up your neighbors!

11 months and dead. Water inside housing. Even used silicone between its mounting plate and the light housing.
Water comes in at motion sensing globe as well as light pivots. No way to avoid intrusion on vertical installation. Slightly better than junk.
Prior to failure, motion sensing seemed very narrow. Light output was sufficient.
2 stars because of 5 year warranty and Defiants helpful telephone number. I get another one, that I probably will not use.

This fixture can be installed on a wall or overhead. the light is bright and uses less then 15 Watts. When installed you can adjust the sensitivity also the angle at which it will pick up movement. This motion detector looks good and works great. I have 5 installed around my house and planing to put 3 more around my detached garage.

I bought 3 of these LED lights and it made a huge difference in my front yard. My front yard used to be pitch black because we have no lamp post in my community. But now, My house has the brightest front yard in my street. I would definitely buy more to install more of these in my backyard.

Ive had this light installed for about 6 months. It is difficult to aim the lights. The light has 2 modes and those modes are changeable by flipping the light switch, so if a kid flips the switch wuickly it can change the mode. Then you are left walking out and testing trying to get the flip pattern to get it back in the right mode. Also i had a roof put on my house and now most of the leds are out. I think the banging around jarred them too much. I do not recommend this light. Im going to try to find something tougher.

On the upside it is very easy to install, and is very bright lighting up a large area. How ever the first one I bought had a defective sensor that only reacted to motion at 6 feet or less. So I had to exchange it. And the adjustment for how long the light remains on after being triggered is a small dial adjusted with a small screw driver. 0 - 10 minutes. Fiddling with this adjustment to find the time range your looking for, whether it's 1 minute or 5 minutes is a little frustrating. Because you have to adjust the light, trigger it, time how long it stays on. Then either adjust it up or down accordingly. Then trigger it again, time how long to stays on. Then adjust it up or down. Over and over again until your satisfied. And this can only be done when its dark outside. So if you install it in the after noon. You have to wait until the sun goes down to finish the install.

Short term: Installation was easy. Compliments to Defiant for removing wire nuts from the equation. Everything you need comes in the box. Setup was also very easy. I'll be checking after dark to fine tune sensitivity.
