Works great
Bought this for my backyard in 2019. We’re going into 2023 now and it still works like it’s brand new. No complains at all. Pretty bright and never had any issues with it not charging if it’s a cloudy day. It always works. In my opinion, if it quit working because water got in it or something of that nature, you either didn’t install it correctly, or you put it in a place a lot of water falls from your roof. The thing works great for me.

Possible you did not allow enough time for the light to gain enough of a solar charge. We recommend at least 6 hours of direct sunlight exposure, or 2 days in varied conditions. Reference the enclosed QSG for more information.

Not water proof
Purchased it in summer 2019 and installed on the side rear side of home. Quit working in winter/spring of 2020. Recently took it down and found circuit board housing and motion sensor housing filled with water and corroded beyond repair. NOT FOR OUTDOOR USE.

Not Designed to Withstand Snow
Purchased and installed this light in Fall 2019 on our home. Easy to install and setup. Initially we were very pleased with this light. However, after a snowfall the plastic mounting bracket on both light fixture and the solar panel broke. I contacted customer support and was told: "Unfortunately, any physical damage to any of the components, that is not part of the result of a manufacturing defect or shipping via Home Depot, is not covered under our warranty. Unfortunately, this includes structural damage incurred by a weather event."
In my opinion, if the light and solar panel were properly designed they should be able to withstand being snowed on. Or, is the light designed for indoor use or just for use in a benign environment?

Decent light but sensor went out quickly.
Threw great light for the first couple months but then the motion sensor quit working. Not a durable, quality light in my experience.

If you're experiencing a drop in performance of your Solar Motion Light, review the included Quick Start Guide for tips/hints on finding a cause for the problem, or optimizing the light's performance. Often, shadows, seasonal changes in temperature, and even a solar panel with debris on it are the culprits, and once corrected, the unit will return to optimal performance. Remember, the light includes a 1-year limited warranty.

I was on the fence about buying it because it was rather inexpensive and it advertised about 220 ...
I was on the fence about buying it because it was rather inexpensive and it advertised about 220 lumens of light, however it works really well and even detected motion during a strong thunderstorm! It seems to stay in place rather well, too. I just wish the solar panel cable was longer or I could hang in differently. We have had it for about 10-15 days.

Bought one for a dark area near our house. Works great. Bought a second one for the other side. Battery never charges. It just won't work. Opened it up thinking I'll just replace the battery. This is not a battery you can buy in stores. Very specialized with specific connections for this model. When your battery stops working, throw this thing away because they don't sell a replacement.

Had a few false starts with this light, but now I've got it hacked the way I want (who needs a warranty anyhow?) I'm pretty happy with it. Obviously, I would not suggest you do the same.
Because I had to mount it where there was absolutely no way to get the solar panel into full sunlight daily (even with the available extension cord), I decided to make my own charging cord (out of the available extension cord) so I could charge off a 5V/800mA USB charger. The solar panel, even with the shade limitation, should give enough charge daily for topping up (or close thereto).
Then I decided to upgrade the battery from the included 2000mAh 1-cell 18650 to a 4400mAh 2-cell pack, so I could go longer between full charges. Notice from my pictures how beautifully that 2-cell pack fits - almost like the light was designed to take one in the first place! Hmm... The only thing I had to do was modify the back plate (by cutting down the posts that would securely hold the 1-cell battery.
I was thinking of adding a tiny voltmeter to the outer case as well, but then decided against it when the voltmeter I purchased online ending up being .5V off the reading from my multi-meter and I found out it would draw an additional 2mAh.
Anyhow, the bottom line in general terms:
Generally works well, and is nice and bright with a full charge.
Firmware has been a bit buggy, and I've had to reset it a couple of times (before I modded it).
Construction and materials are good.
Manual could be a bit more explanatory, particularly when it comes to charging.

This product does exactly what I need and that is to provide lighting to an area that does not have power yet. I am building a garage and need to be able to safely enter before I turn on the temporary power or exit the garage after I turn off the temporary power.
It was very easy to install. I did replace the inferior screws with my own because the ones they supply strip easily and in my opinion weren't strong enough.
I do recommend this product but keep in mind it is not as bright as one connected to 120 vac.
